Nope, it is just easy to learn. If you want, i can teach you. :) . Tagalog is widely spoken and is the language most understood in all the regions of the Philippines. Dont mind what Alexander had said. He is a jerk and can't appreciate tagalog or filipino language. |

It is a bit tricky. I am trying to learn it too. The sentance structure always kills me. Luckily I have an angelic trainer who will hopefully become my wife. Good luck (-: |

It's not so difficult, but the thing is, make sure you can pronounce the words correctly, or else you will be laughed at. |

It's not very hard to learn because they use the normal alphabet like us. A-Z. And it is pretty easy to pronounce things cause like I said they use the same alphabet. Well I wish you a good luck if you choose to learn how to speak it. |

Filipino (or Tagalog) is almost structurally similar to English so, generally, it's just easy to learn this language. And, like any foreign language (to you), it would be easy to learn this if you give enough time to learning it and have enough practice. It would be much easier to learn Filipino or any language if you apply or use the language. A conversation partner (fluent in Filipino) would likely help you so much. :D |

Yes, I was born in the Philippines (Cebu) and raised in the US. I know Cebuano but I can't understand at least 10 words of tagalog. I've tried and it's hard. But I'm sure f you practice, you'll get it. Ingat! |

Not at all... Tagalog (more formally, Filipino) is one of the few languages in the world that is phonetic-- the pronunciation of a certain word follows closely its spelling. But the only thing I think that makes it hard for foreigners to learn it is that virtually every Filipino/Tagalog word has a vowel usually the letter 'a', like the word NAKAKAPAGPABAGABAG, w/c has 8 a's! So you'll be opening your mouth widely often. :-) |

I don't really know as I was exposed to Tagalog earlily in my life. But I guess if you expose yourself to that language usually, you'll find it easier to learn. |

If you're familiar with Spanish, it will be easier for you to learn Tagalog. Many of Tagalog words are derived from the Spanish language because the Philippines was colonized for more than 300 years by the Spaniards. |

Tagalog isn't especially difficult. There's just no reason why anyone would need to know it. The same goes for Ilocano, Wray-wray, Vasaya, and all the other kinds of jabber you hear over there. |
