Is the Philippine population too much or too little?

Thanks Jef for the question and Definitely it's too much a population in our country because some people especially the poor that they not to afford of their incomes from respective of their jobs and that's why that they not to give a lot of foods,medicines,school supplies and clothes of their families especially a lots of the children per families and I think theres a reason that our country was over populated like that they did not to do it when it comes the family planning and usually the numbers of their children it's 3 and below but it's too much to having a dozen of these children per families and even a poverty in our country and the question is who is to resolved it of these a lots of our problems in our country?

i think 90 million is A LOT for the Philippines!! It's made up of islands (which isn't as much surface area compared to China!!)

Every time i visit the Phil. it's always EXTREMELY crowded to me!

Too much for our little land and our little economy, in my opinion... a big population is OK if the economy can support the people (give them jobs, services, etc.), like Hong Kong and Singapore... but for a developing country, 90 Million is too much for me... I don't know about you...

If you ask the Chinese and the Indians, our population is too small. This is the population of one province in China, Guangdong. This is not even 1% of the population of China. But then of course, the land area of China is just great.

Being too little or too much should be decided on on the basis of whether there are more mouths to feed than what the economy can afford. In this instance, our population is way too many. Especially since the poorer families are the ones with a lot of kids, and the incomes are just not enough to live decently. A lot of families are barely surviving. If there are less people, then there will be less to feed, and the resources might just come a bit closer to our requirements.

we have 5 millions?! holy cow. thats bad news. i think 90 million is alot, but considering you guys have lots of land, i guess it should be accommodating. but when i visited manila, i realised traffic is more jam than a overcrowded kindergarden. i believe the philippines is a fantastic place but if the government is willing to spend money to upgrade its many districts (eg. widen up roads, maintain bridges and buildings) then im sure it'll be much better compared to the way it is now. singapore is definitely overpopulated. peak hours for us is be quite a hassell getting from one place to another. anyways, even if china's one baby policy, the numbers are still going up...lol.

i dont think so..u know why?a lot of filipinos are leaving the country,migrating in the US,canada etc.just like me and million other filipino.and after sometime those filipino will petition their family in philippines to join them abroad.and i will soon..

That is way to much. There was a report that says that Philippines may be among the Top 10 of the most populated countries in Asia.

The government has to do something about this.
