No. Also, usually a customer will pull this one out when the customer knows that he/she is in the wrong. A business is supposed to serve the customer but if a customer is taking advantage of the business then the customer is wrong and can be treated as so.
An example would be a pizza place I worked at years ago. A guy calls in a delivery. He waits five minutes and cancels it. He says he found a better deal elsewhere. He told us the deal and it would not have been profitable for us to do it. (we do not even know if his deal was real or not. By the sounds of it, it was something he had made up). We told him that we could not do that and we would just cancel the order. He started to argue with us and we told him sorry but no. He then decided that he wanted our pizza after all and wanted to go ahead with the order. The manager told him no. It was cancelled and it would stay that way. We were not going to deliver to him. Finally, the person told the manager the customer is always right. That is when I first heard that usually when a customer uses that line is when he/she knows they are in the wrong. The manager gave this guy the line and soon hung up the phone. The person was soon added to the do not deliver list because of his harrassing calls over the next few days. He tried to scam the place and failed. He was wrong. |
