I think the reason why this person asks this is he or she looks for an authentic country where McDonald and the rest have not yet found a ready market with people who enthusiastically use their hard earned money for overpriced and over processed industrial waste sold as food... now that the question has been answered with so much belligerence showing most peopleâ€™s deep conviction here that McDonald equals â€˜modernâ€™, â€˜advancedâ€™ etc the questioner will not consider visiting Malaysia, maybe only Sarawak. There are indeed only a couple of McDonalds in Kuching, so my question to you is: does the absence of McDonald make Sarawak the â€˜most primitive stateâ€™ of Malaysia???

There are 300+ McDonalds all over the country. The menu's mostly the same, overcooked, overprocessed industrial waste made to look like food.

The only difference from the normal version is the lack of pork... It is a Muslim country after all.
