Why would we think of the crudest way of breaking someone's heart? Is not that a bit cruel?

Think of this: in our brief lives, we have experienced at least even once, that our hearts are broken. We are familiar with the pain, the grief, the angst and the anxieties that it almost break our body and soul. Why would then we intentionally inflict it on others? Should we let our own vindictiveness of the past hurts overcome the basic goodness in our hearts? If it is then inevitable that we would break somebody's heart soon, could we make it in a sensitive way so that she / he would at least be comforted with the idea that we care for her / him but the we break her / his heart for him to learn?

If we believe in the interconnectedness of all the things in the universe, we would realize, then that if we break someone's heart, we also break our own.

The most easy to break someone's heart is by being honest. Of course it is hard to know the truth sometimes. But little by little that someone will be able to understand and accept the truth. Then moving on will smoothly follows. Besides being honest is the most peaceful means. There will be peace of mind. Guilt will be lost.

If some one were to break my heart, I would probably take it the best if they did it in an honest way and let me down gently!

say like " your a great person and are very kinda and so on, but I'm just not the one for you, there is someone out there that is perfect for you and I'm not the one. You deserve the person that is going to be a true match for you and I don't feel I'm that person. I've enjoyed the tI'me we had together and I hope you can understand where im coming from"

I know this sounds unrealistic but I've had to do it and this is the best way yeah the guy was upset, but he was thankful that I was honest and told him how I really felt. Its worse to lead someone on and then just poof its over!

OH and if honesty and kindness doesn't work then I would just say its over, don't call me don't talk to me leave me alone! sometimes you just have to be harsh to get the point across!

This is a side of the Pinoy nature that baffles me. When someone does you wrong ...you are obcessed with getting revenge......like that will change anything......
Someone once wrote "Those seeking revenge should dig two graves".....
When you try to get revenge you not only hurt yourself but you verify to the other person that they are important and have hurt you.....The "best" way to get revenge is to live good......get on with your life as if the other person meant nothing..... have a better life than him......that will break his heart

It never is easy breaking someone's heart no matter how you try to "soften the blow" as they say. You will always hurt him/her whatever the reason is. But it is better to be honest than to keep up pretenses, the more it will hurt the person specially when he/she learns that all the while you were just pretending with your feelings or emotions.
