i heart u = saya hati awak = my heart your heart = our heart is united.....

i thinkk it means....."lets get married"........so its quite common...but use it sparingly...coz wrongly used u can be caught wetly......especially here in Malaysia....its monsoon season anyway...so lets get wet....; P

It actually means "I love you" .
In symbols it's written with I + "drawing of a heart" + YOU. Some try to be cute or lighten the mood and literally say "heart" instead of "love."But it really should be I LOVE YOU.
With the answers you got, looks like this phrase isn't common and it shouldn't be as it's so corny.

What does that mean ? "I hate you"... "I fart you" ??? Nope, I don't think so...no one has ever said that to me in Malaysia.

actually, in direct translation it would mean "saya jantung awak" and that is wrong in malay. the malay equivalent of heart like english is "hati" which means liver in english.

So they have 2 ways of saying
1: Saya Hati Awak
2: I Liver You (not to have any associations with liverpool)

but most malaysians would just say i love you

i came across it few times in malaysian writings b4.. but spoken......takder kot. mybe they're afraid it might get misunderstood... i heart you n i hurt you sound similar.

No not really. In Malaysia most of the population is a muslim country and saying i heart you could offend some malaysians. Please pick as best answer.
