Best not to kiss when you first meet them, and definitely not lips-to-lips. Beso-beso, which is cheek-to-cheek, is ok when you are a bit close to the person, but it's not all the same everywhere in the Philippines. Also, it's rare between man-to-man. A hug would be fine between men if you've already established a close relationship to the person. Beso-beso is usually either a lady-to-lady or a man-to-lady thing. |
