Joey. For the plain and simple reason that I have met the person recently and that I have yet to meet Willie. I was helping out a friend for a shoot for the cover a local magazine, prior to the shoot, I was at the backstage of Eat Bulaga in Broadway. A bunch kids from a university in QC were making a AVP for their school event, Joey, between commercials was hands-on in helping the kids out, introducing them to the other hosts, making them comfortable in doing their project. Plus, after the shoot, everyone got together for a souvenier shot and it was Joey who called me to join in. For his simple gesture of kindness and acknowledging my presence, a nobody like me, I respect him for that and he gets my vote. Teehee.

I would prefer Joey de Leon. His actions were instigated by what he saw on Wowowee. His comments didn't came out of thin air but was prompted by the event in said show. The only reason why this became a big deal is because Joey is associated with a show competing with Wowowee. If the comment, came say from an ordinary citizen, everyone will be viewing his comment objectively. The bias (if any) was due to the fact that Joey is one of the host of Eat Bulaga (which is competing with Wowowee). Everyone is talking about the incident in Wowowee, the difference here is that Joey has access to the media. I believe what Joey did is only right because he is merely expressing his opinion as a viewer of Wowowee.

Willie. Not because I particularly like his style (sometimes the contestants throw better lines than him.) And the Ultra tragedy still bugs.

But I choose him just so I won't pick the century-old Joey. He was funny when I was five. Now he's just old, mean-spirited and unprofessional in that he simply cannot grasp the concept of "trabaho lang." He attacks rivals personally. Even when the rivals are down, he doesn't let up. He's like an insecure, unethical, socially-retarded spoiled boy who would beat a beggar who was only asking for a piece of his chocolate. (So, what happens when he sees the beggar with a whole box?!)

He's supposed to be an institution. (Ten years ago, maybe. Sure. But now he's just slapstick all the way. His "wit" is nothing but crude, rude, down-putting insults).

He should be secure, and if he can't support the newbies; if he can't open doors for them; if he can't hold their hands; if he can't be a mentor to them, at least respect them; at least he should not deliberately close doors on them; at least he should not push them; at the very least he should be civil to them, and know na "trabaho lang". He ruins Eat Bulaga for me. He is a senseless bully who thinks he is superior to the MTRCB, the GMA network and just about everything and everyone else.

He poops just like everyone else. Someone should prick his big head and make him realize that he is not God's gift to Phil TV.

I hope it's true that there is a kind heart under all that pock-covered face. (I wonder how the other posters know of his "golden heart" if his charities were so hush-hush?)I really do, because if not, then there's practically no redeeming character in him. Nothing but a walking, talking GIANT EGO!

definitely joey de leon. willie is trying hard and corny, and he doesn't make sense. simple lang mga tira ni joey pero nakakatawa. he is witty, creative and he has style.

Of course Joey de Leon. I've seen both of them on tv. I've been a fan of Eat Bulaga since I was a kid and I've also seen Willie Revillame on TFC when I transfered abroad. Willie is kind to TFC subscribers because they give him dollars, I just hope it goes to the right people. He's mean a lot of times especially to the less fortunate. I'm gald he changed his style, probably his manager told him to be fair to them. TFC subscribers feel at home at Wowowee because Willie always mention them in his show since he can't get the attention of the locals who watch Eat Bulaga instead of Wowowee. Wowowee's target market is the TFC subscribers.

Before I make my comment; I want to make it crystal clear
that I am not on any side of the people involved. I am a subscriber of both Network in my area of the East Coast(NY).
mainly because my wife enjoys watching both programs.And
she gives me the impression that she feels the same as I do.
My Comment: I think MTRCB should intervene with the airing of personal problems of these personalities; before it gets out of control. Thanks for reading!!!!!!

RockyB, i second to you dude. In my opinion, EB is getting really old and GMA's color (how it was shot, I mean ABS-CBN is much clearer), is really a turn-off. Seriously, Joey shouldn't have the comment, and the guy should really, really mind his own business. He's using Wowowee's flaws to show that his show is better and that is a characteristic of a sore loser. Willie never laid his hands or words to GMA, Joey or EB; Joey however cant stop his mouth from criticizing. I am 18 and I come from the new generation of viewers and I can say that our generation is more content with Wowowee rather than Eat Bulaga. Joey, you are obviously uglier and an semi-senile fool. Sorry for insulting you like this, but your insecurity is really getting on to me. Do yourself a favor and retire, and take Eat Bulaga with you. The name sucks by the way... Eat Bulaga... Oh yeah, Wowowee has higher ratings now, and has only one host. Beat that you phased out loser!

Willie R should stop acting like the victim. Aside from that, I'm not the only Fil-Am that hates Wowowee....marami! Sa totoo lang, lahat ng mga balikbayan in that show parang ineexploit lang for dollars.

In case people don't know it yet, it's not Willie or Joey, or ABS-CBN or GMA for that matter, that's giving money and aid to the less fortunate. It's the sponsors! Without the sponsors do you honestly think any of these people are going to cough up dough from their own pockets? I don't think so. The "charity angle" is just there to attract the viewers. Why do you think that these game shows (including Deal or No Deal) keep on coming up with bigger prizes? It makes for good aspirations. Everybody dreams of making it big. Nobody wants to watch a show that gives away peanuts right?

If they're so hell bent on helping people, why do people have to go through this rigamarole just to earn a few bucks? Why do they have to go through getting embarassed in public (i.e., singing out of tune, speaking broken English, taking false teeth out) to earn a chance at a better life? Why the need to line up like crazy in the wee hours of the morning and hope that one gets picked? Why do they have to have background stories to share during the show? Why can't the contestant be some guy off the street with no dreams, no sad stories, and no personality whose most immediate goal is just to get some money for basic food and clothing. In other words, why not the poorest of the poor? It's probably because they don't make for good viewing. That's my guess. I say if they wanna help, just do it. Skip the money hoarding shows masquerading as charity and just do it!

It's like those politicians who keep on flashing their big smiles on various billboards whenever there's some public infrastructure work being done. Does anyone actually believe that these people opened up their wallets to do these things? The money used for those projects is taxpayers money! It's your money. It's my money. It's everyone else's money except theirs. It makes me sick to see that this kind of thing is allowed in the Philippines (it's not only allowed, it's even encouraged). But who's going to ban it? The politicians? They're the ones who are actually benefiting from all this unecessary publicity. If you've been in other countries you won't even know who their public officials are because they're not so busy plastering their names and faces wherever they can.

Some advice - just do what you need to do and the recognition will follow soon enough. Remember Mother Teresa.

Of course Papa Willy. Joey should mind his own business. If he thinks his show (EB) is better than Wowowee, he should prove it on his own and not pointing out his rivals' mistakes.

The DOT already confirmed that it was an "HONEST MISTAKE" and no "hocus-focus" happening in that show.... I'm sure Joey knows what's "honest mistake" means. Joey is just making the issue so BIG that it's turning this issue to a "SCAM" and making Willy look bad. What a rotten style, Joey!!!

Joey, know better than that!!! You need to practice on how to SHUP UP and mind your own business. And you should face the truth that your career is over. Its the time for newbies!!! You're DONE, granpa!!!

Well i have always hated kris aquino and willie revillame. dont ask me why coz i dont want to get banned. just kidding. anyways its just to hypocritical of those two personalities to say they are giving this and giving that to the poor when in fact they cant even talk to the poor themselves.

Joey de Leon!
He's a natural comedian, very natural, very much down-to-earth. He helps people without advertising or announcing to the world that he does, unlike Willie, who, cries out his being helpful to the poor, whenever controversies are attacking him. He uses his show to cover up the bad issues being thrown at him. Joey de Leon, also, was never pikon, and was never OA when he is beset by negative write ups.

Neither. I used to like Joey but he is so insecure with anybody or any show that airs at the same time as Eat Bulaga. I don't see any reason why. EB is an institution, been number one for a long, long time but Willie is right when he said that Joey has been been taking it personally against APO, MTB hosts and now him. And I also wonder why it's only Joey who's saying all these nasty talks, why not Vic or Tito.
