Some are Filipinos and some are not. If you see that the answers are lenghty, the answerer could be a Filipino... If the answerer says something very positive about the places in the Philipines, they could be Filipinos. In the first place, what's wrong with being proud...
I think it's better to ask the Filipinos about the places in the Philippines because we know better in our country. If some foreigners are asked about the places and people here, they may not answer well except maybe when they have been to this place because at least, they have an experience... Whether these people (foreigners) answered negatively or positively about the Philippines, it wouldn't matter if they had the experience to stay here. Whatever comes out is their opinion. But don't trust a traveler wannabe who's inexperienced.
If the answerer spelled Filipino like Philippino, the answer is NOT a Filipino. Filipinos are not likely to spell our nationality like that though that could be accepted.
Other answerers who keep posting negative ones are either Filipinos or other people who seem to hate the country. |

Nope, I am not Filipino in any way, shape, or form. I live here in Manila, so I tend to answer questions people have about coming here, hence the travel section. If you are born and raised here, you may not notice some of the idiosyncratic things here as you are used to them.
For example, the first time I visited here, I did not realize that in a public restroom, people do not make one general line (as is the style in the states), rather you chose a specific stall and line up outside of it. If you have lived here your whole life, it would likely not even register as you would assume it is done that way everywhere. It is the tiny things. |

this is a free site... anyone, any race for that matter, may answer. thing is, it depends on how to approach the questions asked. if it refers to filipino customs, traditions, translations, then for certain they do have filipino blood. other than that no... someone said it best, say "puta ng ina mo" or "baho ng kili-kili mo"... if he retorts back, he surely is one... a filipino |

No, why do you ask? But I wonder why some people seem out to paint such an awful picture of the Philippines. I have no illusions about the state of the Philippines but I will not tell people it is worse than it is. That would just be ungrateful, no matter how bad your situation is and I think the fact that those people have money to get on the Internet means it isn't so bad. I just think it's disappointing what some people say. On the other hand, some people can also give misleading answers on how great things are but that's better than giving such a negative image of the Philippines. |

This is not a Filipino Site. This is in the Travel section and it should be for giving honest answers to people about travel in the Philippines. Since few Filipinos know very much about the country in which they live, it is often difficult to get honest answers. Many of the answers I have seen posted here by Filipinos are so untrue and so biased.
Please do no tell someone to travel 12,000 miles expecting Manila to be a beautiful place. It is fr from beautiful. Do not tell people to come to Borocay and think it is Paradise Island. It is not !
It makes no difference who posts answers here, but lets try to be honest with everyone. |
