it depends on the defamation legislations in the country and precedents of course.

also depends on contents of your video. if you were simply making fun (as would most people) it should be fine. but if you made allegation which is untrue (sometimes even true allegations would get you into trouble) and that resulted in his "reputation" (as if he had any lol) lowered and people shun away from him or he suffers any damages in any way, say for example you said he was a liar and his dog decides to bite him knowing it is true, then lol yeah he can sue you. but given that he hasnt got much reputation to lose, lol i'd say go ahead you are pretty safe... be tactful, eg - you can say he is a monkey (either because everybody knows that as a matter of fact or nobody would ever believe that) but dont say that he is accepts bribery etc...

oh misspelled name would NOT safe you provided everybody who watches the video knows who you are talking about. it is pretty obvious. might as well use his real name. lol

actually nope.. they cant sue you because it was not his real name.. of course you name it Khairee not Khairy.. and yes it sound the same but he cant sue you because its not his name.. nothing can he do about it..

Wow, yeah. That's why making a video or any record of slander is so dangerous. Now Khairy has proof for court. Oh, and obviously s/he can sue you for slander.

Of course, anyone can sue you! The question is, will he win the case? That would already depend on the lawyers that he and you will hire. If you get the best lawyer in town, then he might not have a chance. But if the best lawyer is hired by him, then you are a goner my friend. Good luck!!

You can't be sued for the spelling mistake but for making fun of him. It's called slander.

no. He has no evidence that it is the same person, for all he's knows it's a coincidence.

It's like on tv, when a show wants to mock a person or brand they call it... like iDod instead of iPod, so apple, the makers of the iPod, cannot sue them or anything.

No ,as you didnt mention his last name and there is a different spelling....aslong as you didnt show his image and face in your videoclip then he wont have a strong case.Did you state your own name in video,how does he know its you and who is to define meaning of FUN...in good or bad way,many people have different feelings about fun and making fun of a person.Dont sweat it,he is just trying to scare you

Hmm, it depends whether you actually put his name on with correct spellings and full name. Along with infomation that is considered incorrect that can harm his reputation or in physical sense. Also make sure you don't put his picture. If you wish to insult him, cartoons are a good way provided that the info is correct (as in already reported in newspapers). You can even put his name without any misspellings.
