Yup, this is celebration for all Malaysians. By right there shouldn't be such thing like Malays, Chinese, Indians, UMNO, DAP, Muslim, non-Muslim etc. Just Malaysians. After 50 years, we should be mature enough for that.

During my study (oversea), I found that any national celebration in that country is attended not only by their PM, but opposition leader as well. This is because opposition leader is also regarded as national leader representing minority.

Don't worry about the lustprophet. He has annoyed people in R&S enough that he wants to corrupt Malaysian section. Just regard him as a computer virus.

when Sabah is independant then i will celebrate a Merdeka day but not for Malaysia. When the Sultan comes to Sabah and works for 500 ringgit a month and survives it then maybe he will think twice about telling people to not worry about that stuff. The Sultan is not my Sultan and never will be.

to 'me lah': all talk no action?? do you know what happens to you here in Sabah if the government finds out you have discussed independance publicly?? you go to jail! you get framed and tried for sodomy (anwar), you get beaten in jail. If it were as easy as you make it sound 70% of this country would revolt. Talking IS the action thats happening right now, its about letting people know its ok to not like or disagree with the government in charge of your country. Loving country is different to loving government. My country is Sabah not Malaysia.
