Moment of truth! Who was the first person ever you notice in YA! Malaysia.....?

Truth huh? For me, it was a user who went by the nickname Dave Star. And why did I notice him? Because he was constantly trying to discourage other travellers and foreigners from coming to this country because of 1 bad incident that happened to him while he was here. At first, I sympathised with his misfortune but then he went too far and for far too long. Finally, I decided enough is enough and someone has to say something. So I did but unfortunately I did not foresee that he would report me and so the questions were deleted and I got my first violation report. Anyhow, I tried to befriend him again (after all this is just a public forum) but I guess his bruised ego is still sore. I don't see him around this category anymore unless he may have change his nickname...

The second user who caught my attention was TheBear. First, he is the first person to add me as a friend and even converse with me through IMs and emails. Second, his almost impeccable skill of the English language that few people can match. Third, his personality and feelings which he can openly describes ever so often with gusto and honesty. I have always admired his Q and As and even though we may have our difference of opinions but still, this guy is tenacious, fearless and a very straighforward person.

To TheBear, the admiration is mutual, my friend.

To be honest, I've never logged on Yahoo Answers Malaysia because I'm always on the International site...

Okay okay... I get you, you mean this section, right? LOL...

Well, a lot of users are confused with Yahoo Answers Malaysia and Yahoo Answers Travel category, Malaysia. There is a big difference as one refers to the entire server/Yahoo Answers and the other, refers to only this section.

I wasn't really a big 'fan' or interested in this section at first. I came on Answers to do some read up on Martial Arts. Then, I went into Religious and Spirituality and was a regular there. After a while, I thought of dropping by 'Malaysia' in the Travel section and noticed a lot of 'Malaysia Boleh' posts in here (which irritated the crap out of me).

So, I came along and joined in... as I always believe in speaking up on the truth, regardless of what others may think of, since we are not getting paid or paying to use this site. After all, its Yahoo Answers and everybody is here to get opinions. If opinions were meant to be 'one sided', that's no longer an 'opinion' anymore, since people are not entitled to have their own point of view, rather, plagiarizing the idea of others and being a mere 'lalang'.

I wasn't interested in 'chatting' and all the things I'm doing with the rest in here. Being a 'new' user, I was pretty rule-abiding until my first account was suspended and I came up with my backups... and the rest was history.

First person I ever noticed in this section?

Hmmm a tough one. At first, it was AQ. Then, looking up to those 'Top Answerers', it was Sarah and the others. I find Yuna's answer was more moderate and insightful at times... and yes, I DO notice Myra a lot, as the 'mak cik' in here, and being the 'librarian' for her cut & paste answers... oh oh oh and Azayi too, who was my favorite pick since he was always 'TheBear' this and 'TheBear' that which eventually got me into my nerves and launched a 'strike' against each other...

As for the others, they are quite 'noticable' lately, like Dk, Gindy and Gabby who became 'wacky' after the clone wars... LOL

There is also another user, Yvonne, who changed her nickname to Shiori lately who gives very frank and 'Malaysia Boleh' answers. A great friend and honestly, I admire her composition skills... (hehe)

Hmmmm there's another 'prominent' user in here, who is quite noticeable too. His name is 'Musa'. Anyone seen him around lately?

The first was 'Sarah' (Not you, the other Sarah) 14 months ago when she asked about the death of Sir Norman somebody in Malaysia.

I can remember TheBear's very first question here 7 months ago and it's quite interesting to note my comment afterwards!

lol..bear that was 'cute'..(aler, not all i cut and paste, you know.. ;-P)

anyway, the very first time i was actually asking a question regarding children and parenting stuff..didnt really bother that much on who exactly i bumped into at that time..then, while browsing around the entire YA..i went into the religion & spirituality..somehow, became a regular over that section for awhile coz there are too many juicy stuff to read and answer!!..along the way,i had accidentally click on a question in YA>travel>malaysia and wallah..the very first person i had encountered and had some cat fight with her was Sarah (again it was not you..it was 11 month ago ')...lol..it was a moment to remember..but now, we are like sisters! :-D
Can you imagine, we actually gaduh about the mosque 'dome' which someone asking about it and relate the shape to an onion!!..do you believe that??!!..lol..

then, it was Bicycle Repairman aka Bean, Bo$$, Azayi1, BMW5, AQ, DaveStar (mamat giler)..Yuna and of course the one and only TheBear (who gets instantly popular with all his witty Qs and berjela-jela ...,No Money, and the list goes on..

La ni melekat terus... addicted mcam glue la pulok!!

Well well.. its quite a long story to write..

i first start in when i see Myra, bycleman, sarah & Bo$$..

then they were Ron Lim & Dave Star which get on my nerve.. why.. they answer everything negative about malaysia.. for your guys info that's the first war on YAM..
after sometimes, it just stop & Ron Lim just depleted into thin air..

then second YAM war broke out between several parties..
those includes myself & thebear also AQ.. & others involvement.. that we call it as Clone War i supposed..

not to forget Yuna, daniel c, anderson & other old regulars...

lol i obviously still dont know many people in here... and never really got personal with any... gindy maybe but not really, whoA

yeah i aint logged in to YAM... just this travel section. anyway, the first quesshy i ever answered to here is once uncle mo's aloe vera quesshy which you can imagine why i was confused beyond comprehension. anyway, the next i noticed was MLP asking why malay=islam. the next was someone asking who's best to be msia's next PM. and like thebear, only then i realised this is more of a forum than a travel section per se.

above all, i have strong excitement whenever i see effendiR. his knowledge and familiarity with everrrrry single corner of sabah and its lifestyles just appeals to me.

theBear - i am SO SO SO disappointed you didnt even mention me!!! lol haHa i still dont quite get it when you said "the way" i approached you. what exactly did i do?

i saw this person who write so long at almost every answer that i got bored reading halfway but i force myself to read and found out okaylah not bad betol jugak dikni berbual. tak lain tak bukan thebear.. i think his nick was something else.. then after that i saw mr bean because of his superman logo picture..after that azayi1 because he always condemn me (directly or indirectly) of being non-malaysian.. LOL then myra because of her cool travel knowledge and the rest and so forth

It was some 10 or 11 months ago when i 1st started answering YA Malaysia....i saw
cicakman, sarah, shah, coomas, dave starr, beans..later bear, myra, pick c, MOAB, Azayi,bo$$, anderson, no money, yuna, shayna....the rest is history.

I sign up YAM about a year ago. I came in yam... it was quiet... then several months I asked a Q about country code. and I get respond by siddhartha/the bear/new_once/cherrie pie and public mutual consultant. and they are all frendly so fr there onwards... I can't stop visiting YAM.

First one i noticed was 'bicycle repairman' and malayan tiger. Followed by myra, boss, azayi and anderson. Then came the rest.
I asked about where to buy cheongsam in KL and anderson's answer was very useful.
