My dad says not many people use Mac so he asked me to get a Windows. What should I do?

Not many people use Mac bcos it's expensive and not many people know about its existence too. If you got money to buy your own then buy Mac. If not, buy Windows.

Your dad might got a point on it, and yet you also got the point on why we should utilize the Operating system.. but here in Malaysia.. get a Microsoft mate..

else if you're the one who bought it then its okay with the Mac.. if not, buy a new hard disk then set the Windows on it.. keep the Mac in a safe place..

If u are working Mac have a bit problem to interface with windows server which most company use. While mac is good in graphic application.

explain to him that more people are getting macs every year and that if you want your computer to last you'll have to get a mac because in a few years everyone will have one. Not necessarily true but whatever.

note: I have a macbook, I run Mac OS X, Windows Xp, and Linux Knoppix all at the same time with VMwares Fusion. You should be able to find it for free on rapidshare or somewhere.

played around with macs a few times, just cant get the hang of it. my thought: if something is good, stick with it.
im afterall, not very fussy about high tech stuff anyway.

Open the Mac website and get references from the internet about the benefits of using Mac over Windows..educate your father on the fact that just because its known that not a lot of people use Mac, doesn't make Windows the better choice.

I think your dad is correct, if all you are worried about is getting a virus then get yourself a decent anti-virus like 'Avast' (It's free)

If you like the style of the Mac then you can use 'Windowblinds' (Also free) to skin your Windows to make it look and feel like a Mac.

With something like 98% of all home users using a Window's based PC it would wise to follow suit......go with the flow Bro.........
