FRIENDLY :-)
Just my frank opinion... I think Malaysians can be overly friendly with anyone if they want to/like to... and I guess others will agree with me on this... |

FOOD!!
I'm a Malaysian who's now in Australia and let's just say...although I love Australia (second best place on earth, first being obviously Malaysia!) I'm suffering with the choice of food I get here.
I want kolo mee! I want nasi lemak! I want nasi goreng!
I can cook the later two but no one can help me with the kolo mee dilemma.
Oh man....
(And Malaysian food costs like AUD10+ here. That's like....20 plates of the same food back home. Eeeee...) |

For those who dont know 'paguh' means 'very good' in Bidayuh and thanks for the thumbs down guys.
Pen,
the asker of this question is something of a language expert now living with you in Sarawak so I kind of hope that he knows what I mean by saying Paguh. |

PIVOTAL
Malaysia is a microcosm for some of the important changes in society across the globe and is pivotal. As in battles of old, the side that wins the centre usually wins. In modern day battles of ideology, religion etc, the middle ground also determines which direction things will go.
1. Religion
With a fine balance of 55% muslim with 45% non- muslims, will the fundamentalist muslims have a bigger say or will the moderates prevail? The big question is whether there will be more peace and understanding among peoples of different faith.
2. Political Influence
Malaysia is friendly to all major powers. American influence can be plainly seen in consumer goods, entertainment etc. China's influence is growing too because of historical roots of a segment of the population. Islamic influence has been present for centuries and is deeply rooted. Whose influence will be the strongest eventually?
3. Wealth
Malaysia is neither rich nor poor and probably sits in the middle class as far as the world is concerned. Will richer nations get richer and the gap between have and have nots widen?
When you look at Malaysia you may see a trend of things happening across the human population. Hopefully it is for the better. |

# Is the truth for Malaysia. Don't believe me? Ask randomly any mature adult Malaysian or ask Senior Minister of Singapore Mr. Lee Kuan Yew.
## BTW, the same word can be used for Singaporeans. |
