if you think filipinas are the prettiest, why ask if they're ugly?

to answer your question, i think they're ONE of the prettiest in the world, having the Filipino blood mixed with various races (Malay, Spanish, American, Chinese, etc). Our skin color is the envy of a lot of caucasians, we can stay in the sun without as much danger of skin cancer as caucasians and we have a year-round tan. Our malay features, like out asian neigbors are exotic. Not only that, our outside beauty is complimented with our loving culture and most Filipinas are conservative while still fun to be with :)

Depends on the Filipina you are looking at and on the person who are looking. People are different. Even in other nations beauty varies from person to person. But generally Filipinas are beautiful.

I wouldn't go as far as saying that the Filipina is the prettiest in the world but I would say that she can hold her own against the prettiest in the world.
The old sayings "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" or "one man's cup of tea is another man's cup of poison" all ring true.
What you consider to be pretty I may consider to be plain and vice versa.
One thing that I have noticed on my trips to the Phils is that the Phils is blessed with more than a fair share of beautiful women.

In every country there are pretty girls and ugly girls. The same as the Philippines. Most Westerners find Filipina beauty to be exotic even the plain looking in the Filipino standard are considered beautiful to them. I guess beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder and I wish its always a westerner's eye 'cause I'm a Filipina.

different races and cultures have different standards of beauty. what's ugly to filipinos may be beautiful to a white or black man. pretty or not, filipinos make beautiful children especially when mixed with another race.

There's the answer. Here's my answer.
I am a filipina living abroad and married to a very intelligent, good looking, wealthy and young english man. Everywhere we go, I stand out amongst other women in the room, not just because of my looks but also because I am smart, not ignorant, can hold any conversation, has talent, clean, sweet and simple, funny, petit, polite, respectful, humble (most of the time) appreciates beautiful things, hardworking and very caring. That means its not just the looks but also of personality. In short, Filipinas are still different even compared with our neighboring asian nation's women if based on knowledge. Indeed, an envy of most caucasian and colored women.

I also think with the smartness and looks for having an exotic beauty, Indian (asian) women are fast becoming a favourite because of their rich culture and food but then we, Filipinas are still different because we always want to smell good, tidy and always conscious about our personal hygiene. No surprise that a man like my husband had chosen me to be his wife. He is proud of me.

But then beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, you find out for your self.
