your question is actually simple but the others added some things that would make them feel superior and noticeable... So what if they don't speak Tagalog, never learned it or they're bad at it? The question is Pinoy ka ba. Therefore the answer should be simple..

I wish my mom taught me Filipino. But being raised in America, it seems that most Filipinos want to be white. So I didn't learn the language. I want to but it looks hard. So, I took Mandarin instead.

in australia most of the young filipino generation are being called a FILO.pinoy is not being use anymore amongs filipino in australia.the word FILO are well known among others national in australia.the filipino in america are being called FILAM.pinoy are not being use anymore especially outside philippines.
