if u have brothers or sisters, talk to them in english. If u make mistakes, you will laugh but u will remember it. If you didnt make any attempt to speak in english, it would be harder to learn. Try to speak perfect sentence. Make it a habit.
watch english movie and do not just read the subtitles. listen to their pronunciations.
read proper english magazines, not tabloids magazines as they often uses slangs instead of proper words.
read english newspapers.
watch news in english.
Make dictionary your bestfriend and learn new vocabularies.
Play scrabble. It will force you to create words with the letters u have infront of you.
Sing english songs with perfect pronunciation and words. |

First thing is to get rid of the idea that English is difficult. Secondly, find lots of books that teaches you the English language and you will also need to spend some time each day to practice your vocabulary.
Then get a friend (or even better a group of them) who speaks English (all the better if English is their first language) and practice with them. Avoid speaking Malay or any other languages with them as much as you can in order to get a 'gist' of the English language and its usages. Try to be expressive!
You'll be there, don't worry :-) |

As others mentioned to you earlier, referring to the dictionary is not of the good way.....when you start to read an english book/magazine/novels, there will be thousands of words which you might don't understand....so when you refer to the dictionary, the meaning of the words will be immediately captured in your mind....
But in my opinion, the best way to learn is by talking to people...Don't never ever be shame of yourself to speak in public, you wouldn't learn anything unless if you try.....
Watch more dramas, cartoons, movies...that will helps as well, in a more interesting way... |
