their movie packages cut here cut there.. 2 n a half hour movie become 2 hour movie..
their MTV also cut here cut there...
sick about it..
watch cricket also need to pay,. some more pay rm499!!

Reasons? i think everyone knows what's the reasons are and fed up to comment about it...but believe me, they WILL increase the price and wont give a damn what we, the customers, will say and protest...coz all they will say...NAK TENGOK ASTRO, BAYAR..TAK MAU BAYAR LEBIH..TAK PAYAH TENGOK..habis cerita...but mind you..if we ever gonna terminate the service now..hook or by crook..we still need to pay the rest of the balance of what you have signed in your contract before...yeah, another crap!

ASTRO indeed a blood sucker and makan duit haram all this while...

dahlah, we pay mahal2. service macam si*l..during bad weather tak boleh tengok, now so many lousy advertisement...customer service pon macam 'ngok'..can't understand whatever they are trying to explain...stupid...whenever we call the customer care line ( mind you calling cost IS NOT free!)..the line will engage or they will put us on hold for a period of time ( calling cost another burden to us) and end up they will say, they will send their technician to rectify any problem...and again mind you..we will be burden by paying more for the fees of the technician!!!!!

They increased the fees by RM5 a year back. And look at the service when it is raining.

A big NO to Astro (for fee hike). I love the new Channel 77 though.

this is what happen if a company doens;t have a competitor.. hope that a competitor comes just like telecommunication services.. digi celcom.. then the price will be very low..

no unless and until they improve their service, especially during raining season, if u get 15 day of raining days, u only left 15 days to watch ASTRO but pay one full month! And they lost my cheque for final payment to them. Strange, i send it together with the decoder via registered mail but said they did not received my cheque?!?!

ya i agreed they should not increas becoz we being seeing the repeat movie over n over again. n some of the series movie is laid back from other channel like ntv7 or tv3 how dat could happen? astro should faster then other channel.

thanks orchid, i just signed the petition as well...why do i have to pay more for their bad service....and i was not aware that the price has gone up as well, they didn't inform me as well...but if you ask them to disconnect your line they do it within 24hours and when you ask them re-connect the line, it take 4-5 days...i have been through it several times, its so stupid...and the pictures keeps repeating over and over again and people are still wearing bell bottom pants....how old can these pictures be? James Bond, Knight Rider, I dream of Jenie, The Nanny,,,come on i watched this when i was a teenager....no wonder people say M'sia is going backwards instead of the future...

yes they should.For satellite satellite TV you RM 100+ but got over hundred of channels.
they should change the customer service people on the phone, talking to them its like talking to an wall

i don't think astro should increase their price, it is because there are more and more competitiors trying to get into this field of business. therefore astro's additional of channels n services shouldn't be charged extra.

i love national geographics, americas next top model and channel 70: frasier, heroes,the 70's show and desperate houswives.

I hate the bold and the beautiful series.. what the heck man.. those 80's fashion and hairdo's. nobody i know watch that series.

hbo, cinemax and star movies shows repeated programme over and over again. oh my god...

i wish there are other competitors who offers better services. to tan sri ananda krishnan, do something dude..we all know u are making all your shares private but raising astro rates does not justify it..

please get new programmes for the animal planet and national geographics.. i have been watching the same series since astro started broadcasting.

They shouldn't at this period of time. From what i've known the increased in price is to cover the cost of the new satellite been launched (Measat 3)some time back.
And now, this million of customers have to bear the cost of new channels which made available from last month onwards and the improved reception which the Asstro officials claimed.
Customers have the rights to bring this up and made known of their displeasure to the Trade and Consumers minister concern.
If it's so unfairly charge i think we shouldn't watch Asstro anymore...

my opinion, they shouldn't simply charge just like that without anything in return - better quality, improvement, etc. i don't know...

As already mentioned a few times it is a scandal that Astro will be charging more for their 'service'when half the time (During the rain) you cannot get a picture.

(Boss, I've booked a 3 week holiday to kampung Malaysia and will be there in two weeks time. When I get back to the UK I will offer my services to the Queen and country)

Noooo...how can they simply overcharge subscribers for their average service? They should blame themselves for their inefficiencies of not being able to cover the operating cost.

first off. they are blood suckers. they show repeats a kazillion times... their choices of channels are from the kingdom of bore and they overcharge for it?? my gawd.

If I have the money I'd like to open up a new station and provide better services than Astro. PLUS I'd be giving away FREE channels as well and NO repeats of movies and specially subscribed (no need approval from govt.) uncensored channels via Thaicom satellite (unfortunately it belongs to Sing Kah Poh government now)...

I'm not mad, cos' I've unsubscripted from Astro over 2 years ago when I left M'sia... no regrets too.
