Okay, if only everyone knew about both sides of the story...
A couple of months ago, the Tibetans have confessed that the pictures of Chinese police "supposedly" beating the Tibetans were fake. They said that it was THEM beating their own people up, to frame them.

To answer your question, I do not think the Dalai Lama and his followers should apologize because it was the US's fault for barging into this whole conflict. To more the US is getting involved, the more money Tibet gains (from donations) from Americans that know nothing about the Tibet. The US barged into this situation, which then the Tibetans saw this as an open opportunity to expand their protest against China (it has been going on way before the spotlight shown on them). Thus, causing China to try to keep it on the down low, to prevent any more political turmoil than there already was. Now, the Tibetans decide to frame China, this is when England and America try to help the Tibetans by donating money and supporting them. The Tibetans are richer (some were wealthier than you expected in the beginning), and now taxmoney is wasted. You tell me who is at fault.

I do understand your question. Chinese soldiers seldom shoot down anyone. I can promise you this, if it had happened in America, soldiers would have killed many, America has no tolerance for violent protests. China should take the same stand.

Well, I don't think Americans are smart enough to know the difference.

But I do think that Dalai Lama should apologize to the Buddhists of the world for being a beef lover. If only everyone would have seen the steak that he ordered in San Francisco steak house. He really enjoyed it when he ate that large steak.

Are you out of your mind? You need to go back to 1959 and come forward with the account of what's been going on in Tibet since then. What the Chinese have done to Buddhists in Tibet is horrifying and is just one of the reasons they are the worst violator of human rights in the world. The Tibetans are finally standing up. It's about time. What taxpayer money is being wasted? Please educate yourself before you make any more comments or judgments or ask any more silly questions.
