I like tinola because of the green leafy vegetables that you can add on it, its more nutritious isn't it? Especially if you use a native chicken which low in fat and cholesterol.

Ate Inday, you forgot "kangkong" leaves on your "sinigang" and the "labanos", horse radish.

tinolang native na manok cooked in uling fresh papaya and i-dont-know-what leaves. uh............ memories.......... my father used to cook it for me.

Hi Inday! Usually, i love sinigang sa sampalok with the combination of bangus! Thats very delicious and healthy unlike pork or beef. Tinola is least for me, because i am allergy to chicken...

The only sinigang that i dont like specially the smell is "Sinigang na Bayabas"... Ewww, but anyway thank you for making good question!

I would choose SINIGANG.
Why?
Because there were many variations of sinigang that would suite you taste or mood. Tamarind (sampalok) was not the only base of the soup but you could also use santol, green mangoes, kamias, calamansi, and guava.
Beside from pork, beef or seafood, you can also use chicken.

Tinolang manok, but I'll substitute sayote for green papaya and add local wild mushrooms picked fresh from the fields of Mendez, Cavite. That's how my grandmother prepared it.
