So sian, is it me or are there more people taking mrt since the past year?

It's more and more of a push and shove to get into the train at around 10pm
Additional Details
Exactly!!! But I can't say it's only the outsiders, the guy i saw seem to be very s'porean. He was eating potato chips in the station and in the train.

Haha..the questions and the answers for this question are so typically SINGAPOREAN..haha!

Anyway..I take the train quite often when I come back from school on Tuesdays and Fridays... and I find the train intolerably crowded, especially on Fridays...all the time! The weekends are worse... and do I even have to mention the crowd at Orchard?!!!

looikk
Yes, more people due to increase in population.
Will see more when it reaches 6.5 mil people.
- Crowd after shopping complexes close
- Crowd after end of cinema show.
- Holidays and weekends

Sometime bus may be an alternative, especially the Night Owl or express service.

Sarah T
more crowded, more foreigners -- westerners, indians, mainland chinese, philipinos....

I had not took MRT to work for almost 5 years, driving is expensive in Singapore, but I really hate to take MRT. Only occassionally took MRT to town. Yeah, it's so packed around the clock.

Ya i feel it too... it also depends on the station lah. City hall one is always crowded lor. The rudest crowd has to be Clementi.

Cos that is the time when most shopping centers be closed for the day and every shoppers are ready to head home...

Talking about pushing and shoving, yes, and it seems like it ever since Singapore opens it's door to some uncultured nationals, these people started all the nonsence. They even got the cheek to bring food and drinks into the trains...
