Absolutely, positively, and without a doubt, the "manananggal".
I mean, I know that it doesn't really exist (or does it? Awhooooo....), but something about a woman's body suddenly ripping itself in half as the woman turns into some sort of freaky banshee just creeps the holy heck out of me. I'm not particularly easy to scare, but I swear, that manananggal in the Shake Rattle and Roll movie (with Manilyn Reynes and Aiza Seguerra, as far as I can remember) kept me awake all night. |

i guess it's different from duwende. i think i just saw one at my bedroom's door. it looks like a black kid running. then years later, there's a video clip being shown in Imbestigador, and there, the same lamang lupa was running. a creature with a body of a boy, but it was all black. it always gives me goosebumps |
