Depending of what is your requirement. If you like to dive or snorkel in a clear blue pristine water, Pulau Redang or Pulau Pangkor is the best. If you're looking for a beaches with plenty of high sea adventure, Batu Ferringhi in Penang is the best.

Oh yes! The most romantic and totally unspoiled beach in the world is on Pankor Laut, which is a private resort on a small Island. On the side of the little island where the challets are is beautiful. But when you walk to the other side of the island there is the most beautiful beach in the world!!!!!!!!!
The water is shallow so you can walk very far into the sea. Absolutely white sand! No rubbish or polution. Blue water! Tropical forrest at the side of the beach.
Please check it out, you won't be dissapointed.....

I had been to several beach resorts and islands at Malaysia. Personally, I feel that Perhentian is still the best choice. The beach is not overly done compare to places like Tioman & Lankawi. It's remain it's natural scene.

If you are looking for a beach within the main land, Cherating is not a bad choice.

oh my god, i had the MOST romantic gateway with my bf. we went to Perhentian and Redang islands..check out the pictures in my blog, it was utter ROMANTIC!!!

the Perhentian Islands are beautiful and definitely the place to go...don't go the budget route like all the students, choose the more upscale ones- still super cheap

No, it's not against the law in Pulau Perhentian. Lots of foreigners go there and you see couples canoodling with the sunset in the background. Just don't overdo it and allow each others hands to roam too much.

Pulau Perhentian still has the nicest beaches. Perhentian Besar is more quiet and more for couples with no kids, whereas Perhentian Kecil has more backpackers/budget travellers/students on holidays.
