Malaysia is well known for the delicious food around, all over malaysia. Yummy, no wonder our obesity rate are inclining...

My favourites are:

1. Laksa Sarawak - you can't beat Laksa Sarawak at Jalan Satok, opposite Choice Food Center in Kuching, Sarawak.

2. Roti Boy - can't you just see the line every evening after office hours esp. at KLCC? delicious... especially when they are still HOT...

3. Mee Kolok - owh another local delicay from Sarawak. Although you fly the locally made mee all the way from Kuching, it will never taste as par as when you have it at the hawker stalls

4. Masak lemak cili padi & Asam pedas - need to say more??

5. Sambal Belacan & Ulam - well, makan dengan nasi panas, letak limau kasturi, cili padi, berpeluh ooo...

come on folks, I have to admit I have a little too much of Malaysian taste bud, but aren't we proud of the delicious local food that we have?

I'm sure there shouldn't be any 'best' answer in here...

However, being 'back' in Malaysia, I've always appreciated these foods I've always considered my personal favorites:-

1) Laksa Penang (with prawn paste!!!)
2) Laksa Johor (Mmmmm my mouth is watering already)
3) Nasi Lemak Sotong
4) Rojak Pasembor, Penang Style (with squid)
5) Nasi Kerabu (reminds me so much of home)

Of course, there's also Penang style char-kuey-teao and Satay Kajang...

Those are the common ones though... I also enjoy lemang and soto (which are not commonly sold in the city, so I cannot consider them my 'Top 5 Fav. Food)...
