no, i haven't been called that but here in the US, i've been called "Philipine", "Philippines", "Flip", "Filipinos"...also i get asked if i speak "Philippine". if i know the person well enough, i usually correct them and we have a good laugh but if it's someone i just met, i correct them too. except they don't laugh. they get irritated and say "whatever".

no although much to my chagrin they refer to me as "philippino" or the arabs say "philippini" in their language.

--i onced asked a trainee of mine who grew up in Brunei: "how do you call people from Brunei? I keep saying Bruneiyuki in my mind". she said with a laugh " Bruneians"

Those people who still doesn't know the right and appropriate term to call the people living in the Philippines need to use their mind and common sense VERY SERIOUSLY.. that if they wanna be called brainless or dull. <*-*>

Philippini, most of the time. And there was this car we were following the other day, and on the back of the car was the enigmatic "I KNOW". ONLY, he spelled it without the "K".

i used to work in a korean company & i have a lot of co-worker who are in other nationalities as well most of them are indians and they call us filipinos as FILINI or PHILIPPINE....

but i used to that call....

i have a filipino friend, and i call him that, among other things, but i hope no one is seriously that dumb to think it's correct.
