Upon arrival at your destination, what's the FIRST thing you usually do?

AFTER check-in, do you rest or do you make pasyal (sightseeing) right-away?

Take a deep breath, say a short prayer and go out to taste what the place has to offer.

Adam
It depends on the situation. Sometimes, I like to get settled in my hotel. If I already have a plan, then I go for it. Sometimes, I just like to rest for a bit.

after check-in, i'd go to the counter, sip a coffee and smoke cigarrete.

After checking in, I just stretch a bit on the bed, change into my comfiest shoes, and start sightseeing right away! I wouldn't want to waste precious sunlight! ^_^

Drop off the bags and go to the CR (bath room).

After transcontinental flights, while still at the airport, go to the CR (hehe) and shave.

Coy
Rest muna to re-charge and get settled.

nanuh
The first thing I do is unpack. I laze around the room then I freshen up and change. I go sight-seeing after.

It depends upon the situation usually, for me. If the flight was short-haul: between two to four hours duration, I usually check-into my hotel and take a walk for a couple of hours, surveying the nearby areas, tasting local food ad drink.

If the flight is medium-haul ( 4-8 hours), I usually take a shower and rest for a couple of hours after check-in and spend the rest of the day relaxing, unless there are some urgent issues.

For long-haul flights, after check-in at the hotel, I usually take a nice long vodka (Smirnoff Blue) with tonic water and sleep out the jet lag and booze, till I'm fresh and energetic once again.

love2travel
We drop our bags, have a light bite to eat and start exploring. The excitement of being there is one of the best feelings there is. After all that planning - WE'RE FINALLY HERE!

Pray and go to bed.

Change into my walking shoes and go sightseeing right away! Even if it means exploring a foreign-speaking city alone on an unholy hour. Yeah I could be that reckless.

zeto
depends on where i'm going...
how i'm getting there...
and how long i have been travelling...

Unpack, freshen up, then rest a bit.

I know that's three things, but I do it (in that order) within the first hour after check-in.
