WHY do stereotypes THINK that the RICH are ALWAYS HAPPY? |
it's easier to recover after being broke.
but becoming emotionally drained
is definitely a different thing.

was destroyed by money.
their company became insolvent,

i think it is because rich people to the eyes of the poor doesn't have to work 8 hours or more a day just to eat a complete "3 meals-a-day".
people who were born with almost nothing especially the ones living in depressed areas have only one primary goal everyday- and that is to have money for food- when they have food they are happy.
and their goal is the same everyday. well they have other goals of course. but that is their main goal. see what i mean?
all people have emotional problems. it just happened that your friend's problem looked more tragic because he/she was rich before.
tell your friend to be strong. tell her to close her eyes and pray. we're all equal to the eyes God. |

You are incorrect. Poor people have it categorically worst. Take it from someone who's lived through both states. You probably have not (yet), so you cannot make such an unqualified statement.
Here's the difference between the trials and tribulations between the haves and have-nots.
The have-nots have little to no control over the tragedies that befall them. If they were born into poverty in a banana republic like the Philippines, they can work their butts off and get nowhere. So when their kids get sick, they sometimes die because no one would give them the treatment they deserve due to lack of funds.
Conversely, the haves troubles are almost ALWAYS self-inflicted, often due to greed, ego and delusions of grandeur. Taking your examples listed above:
- The company becomes insolvent likely because of explicitly flawed business decisions on their part;
- The husband is 100% responsible for choosing a whore on the side. It's not like that he had to; he felt entitled to have one--a privilege if you may. Again, bad judgment;
- When rich kids start rebelling, it's usually because the parent's either ignored them while too busy with work or self-indulgence or outright spolied them due to all that money;
- A car crash? Well, cars don't crash for the poor because, eh, they don't have one.
The bottom line is that nobody needs to help the rich when they choose a path that leads to their troubles. Only they can do raise themselves up again. Focus your energies on helping those who truly cannot help themselves. |

Money can't simply destroy relationship.
It's a person's attitude towards money that ruins it all. |

Have you considered that stereotypes actually think that people get problems because of what they do with their lives...not with how much they have in their pockets?
And apparently, it seems (for me) that the real stereotypes are the ones that has the full guts of addressing others as 'stereotype'. Imagine that...
Dropping my two cents...I find these types of questions discriminating. Blame someone else so you could be seen in a better light?! Grrrr....I see CRABS!!!
I agree with Bhuwisit up there. I may not have experienced the other 'state'...but I am showered with good morals to understand other's dilemmas.
Thing about that... |

I agree with bhuwisit.. Rich people can choose whatever they want to do. Poor people can't.. can't buy food, medicine, or car to crash to a wall, cant have a nice place to live. They have so many cant's. Sorry, but i don't have much sympathy for the rich. |

Idle hands are the devils workshop.
If you don't have to work your mind isn't focused on anything but yourself.
Have you ever seen a soap opera about poor people. No.
God knows he can't trust me with money. It's all about humility and I'm short there. So he won't let me have more or less than I need.
I don't work and spend a lot of my time thinking of things I could be doing. Then I get up and remember this old body is finished with all that.
It sucks that the body grows old while the mind stays stuck in the past.
Keep you riches. I don't have the strength to fight to keep it. I don't want the responsibility. |

I definitely agree with the Bhuwisit. Couldn't have said it better. Here is another spin on the answer. Let us equate the poor to a student who has low grades, say 75. Let the rich be a student who has 95. Tell me, who sleeps better at night? I assure you that the student with higher grades will study to maintain that grade average. If their grades drop to 90, a lot of people will be seeking justification from them. From their parents to their teachers. BUT if the low grade student suddenly gets an 80, it is like a miracle. Congratulatory praises from all over.
Bottom line, the stress to maintain wealth is greater than the ambition to become rich. To he who has more, more is expected.
Like I said before .. be careful what you wish for, you might just get it. |

when a person is rich, that person can buy anything that will satisfy their happiness.
like lets say, a rich person is homesick
that person can buy a plane ticket anytime and go back home. |

I don't. The rich are also humans. They have their share of woes just like us. Money can't buy true or real happiness, we all know that. |

not all problems is about money. rich or poor we all have problems. rich or poor we all can be happy coz happiness is not based on money. |

I have, in all of my answers here, gone against generalizations and stereotyping.
I know, and there is a good chance that most of us know, that the rich are not always happy, in the same manner that the poor are not always sad. |
