If you are considering a red hot cinder of coal, then of course letting it go is a lot easier and safer !..
But if you are talking about a soured relationship. holding on to it is definitely a lot harder. |

I agree with m0cca....holding on is more difficult because you don't want to let go yet, because you believe that the relationship that you are in will work out. While letting go is the determination that he/she is not worthy of your love. |

holding on is harder of course!
come to think of it; if you let go, you will be free from pain along the way (it surely hurt so much at first but its only temporary) and learn from it
while holding on, you will always carry that burden as long as you live. simple!? be free fella! youre just hurting yourself if you hold on... |

I have a good grip if I am asked to hold on because something promising is in store. But that wouldn't always be the case if the other party is not doing its best to hold on. In this case, I'd rather let go...
Either can be harder depending on the situation. |

It is much harder to hold on specially if it involves someone you truly care but doesn't want or need you in his life or to hold on to a relationship that has slowly withered and does not exist anymore. |
