Manila is quiet an interesting place to visit. Its quiet busy and at times hectic but there really are lots of fun things to do there. If you like shopping then Manila is for you as there are some of the biggest malls in the world located there and also some of the biggest bargain markets for things such as handbags,shoes and the like. It's a really big city and there is quiet alot of poverty but also alot of wealth. If your more of a city person then I would suggest Manila. If your more of a country person then I would suggest some of the provinces and doing some Island hopping. Either way you should research on the internet about the Philippines so you will get to know more about the country.

Manila is the Last spot you have to go. you must take yourself
far away from the city first. take the beach for example. there is a lot of beaches in the philippines,then go to the City in the mountains BAGIUO CITY to cool down, go find fiesta's event in town or barrios & finalized the rest of your tip to Manila.
have fun do not forget to take a good rest too.

If you want peace, less crowded, less traffic, less pollution, beautiful tropical beaches, affordable, nice people then stay away from Manila.

Im from California I went to Phil last yr I personally LOVED CAMIGUIN. Its never crowded, its sooo tropical and full of nature stuff, its very untouch,well preserved, affordable, clean, nice people, very safe, its like paradise and you dont see traffic jams like manila has. its just an island in the middle of the sea. I wouldnt live there but id go there every year!!!
The negative thing about it is far and theres no mall. But i only go there for vacation and malls are not on my priority list to visit while on vacation. I came from California its nothing but malls around. I try to stay away from crowded city because I want my vacation to be peaceful and quiet and all I want to hear is just the waves of the beach or echoes at night. So at the end it depends what you really want to do.

For those who are visiting the Philippines, the best place to stay is at Fort Bonifacio. Any hotels inside Fort Bonifacio will do. There are lot's to see and to do just walking distance from any hotel there. Metro Manila is so congested with traffic and pedestrians in contrast with Fort Bonifacio where traffic is light to moderate even in rush hours. It is so convenient to stay in that place since everything you will need is within walking distance away. It is also located very close to Metro Manila.

El Nido, Palawan. It's very relaxing and not much people go there. The food is exotic, the water is beautiful. It's a protected area, and you can do lots of stuff like hiking, diving, snorkeling, rock climbing, kayaking and other activities. It was voted one of the Green Places in the whole world. Its definetly THE best place in the world.

umm..try Cebu City..I went there last 2 weeks ago and it was great...also Boracay Island..try also Camiguin Island..I went there too..Love it there!! oh yeah, also Davao City..no trash, just a clean city..unlike Manila...
