What's the worst thing that can happen this christmas?

The worst thing that could happen almost did. I will start with a little background and try to keep it short, but it is kind of complicated and detailed. I have been sick and unable to work much for the last year or so with congestive heart disease and other ailments that are also involved. This had put us terribly behind in owing our property tax for the house we bought in 2005. We had been given a deadline to pay this amount past due before the 28th of December or the house would go into foreclosure. I ended up having to sell my baby grand piano, an eternal extension of my very soul, in order to raise the money in time. And now I am lost without that portion of me gone away, but the fact remains that we could not live inside a piano. But there is still more and I was almost unable to save the house with that because the movers had not handled it well when they moved it here and had dropped it on its side while putting back up where it stood until just the other day. The ones who came to buy it found where an intricate section that holds the strings and allows the tuning to remain corrected was broken in three places and had been hidden under the felt where it attaches to the boards called the bridge. This meant that the piano was basically worth little to nothing and it looked really grim for us and more like we would be losing our home after all. But God smile upon me anyway and worked it all out so I was able to sell the piano at the original asking price, pay the past due taxes and secure our home. So I think the worst thing that could happen is to lose your home, for Christmas or any other day of the year. God is good all the time and I am so grateful. Now I am looking to find another piano because I long to play it every day and I am lonely for the music. But Santa still has our chimney to come down this year and hopefully from now on each year as well! There's no place like home!

I hope it doesn't happen again, but last Christmas was most unforgettable. The clan was in our house, and we started partying early. Drinking, singing, playing games. When it was almost midnight, we gathered everyone and formed a big cirle, with everyone standing in prayer. One after the other, senior members of the clan offered prayers and wishes for the coming year. Then, all of a sudden, I felt very weak, and nearly collapsed. I left the circle quietly, and sat on a chair where I was not visible from the rest of the praying group. After the prayers, they came to me and asked what the problem was. I said my extremities were very cold, and I was starting to feel numb, and was catching my breath. Alarmed, they rushed me to the hospital.

In the emergency room, they did all tests, including ECG etc. They also put me on oxygen. They made my extremities warmer by constantly massaging my hands and feet. I started to feel better, and in about 30 minutes, I felt normal all over again. I insisted that I be allowed to leave the hospital, and we went home immediately. But then, at that time, the bountiful noche buena sat there, mostly untouched, because all clan members were anxious about what happened and what was happening to me. Back at the party place, the atmosphere was dull, the games have stopped, even the poker games did not anymore resume.

That was a nightmarish Christmas. I felt even worse because I was the cause of that gloomy Christmas.

I eventually checked into the hospital after the holidays for a thorough evaluation, an executive check up. So that any illnesses can be arrested at the onset.

Anyway, be sure to cover your feet with something warm all the time and never step on cold floor without slippers - or your toothache will get worse.

Also, if bacteria happens to cause the stomach ache, you can try Metronidazole. With us, the brand of the drug is Flagyl and I've become used to it, cuz I always forget not to drink from the faucet.
