What's with the thumbs down??

I think those responsible for the thumbs down are the denizens of this section (who else but Filipinos who have nothing better to do?) who do the thumbs down for the fun and heck of it.

In other categories, of course, there are also trolls but they are nothing compared to the rapacity of our own, which is unfortunate because the gauge is indicative of the quality of education, and lack of it, these people get in this country. Then again, what else is new?

I hope that I am not too late to receive my share of the TD's.

I don't think that all the TD's eminate from YAP/YAPPERS,
I do think that sometimes the TD's are aimed at the questioner rather than the answerer,
Some are dished out by resident Trolls,
Some are actually dished out for wrong or misleading answers.

Whenever I come across such a situation I dish out TU's

Gamesmanship.

There are people who feel it necessary to thumb others down to improve their chances of winning when it comes down to a vote.

They no longer care if the answer is good or not, only if they can get Best Answer.

The best way to stop uch behavior is to pick best answer and then there are no votes.

I wonder that too before,but most of the people here explain it already.And I get a lot of thumbs down..I take it in positive way,meaning....there are people who recognize me now and there are people following my answers...yeah there are people who got jealous for our wise answers.Thanks to them they inspired me more.

Everyone has a right to disagree on certain topics.
When someone get an excess amount of thumbs down for a reasonable answer,
The deliberate act becomes a childish activity.
Its almost like an elementary school prankster on the loose.
