'Wrong' may not be the right word to use for a country, big or small. Like each person, every nation will have its strengths and weaknesses. It would be fair to mention both plus and minus points, to give a balanced view.
West Malaysia has great highways for a fast and convenient drive especially for the avid traveller who wants to experience all the interesting spots, including the highland resorts within a week or so. Prices are reasonably cheap, esp the local goods. Great for tourism.Many Malaysians living in the small towns and villages are friendly.The people enjoy 17 holidays in a year.
Malaysians consist of several races, and although the population consists of a majority of Malays, the leadership has been putting a lot of effort to develop racial equality so as to attain an all-round developed nation status by 2020. There is some evidence esp during the recent Chinese New Year celebrations at KL. It is always an uphill task to please every person in any society or country unless educational,religious and social status of every citizen is developed further. I believe the leadership is sincere and objective in their goals---it's only the common people, who have to be understanding, tolerant, to change their mindsets and believe in their leaders' vision before Malaysia can become a great, democratic nation. |
