When I was still in the Philippines, I loved McDonald's longganisa meal. Or if you've been to UP Diliman, Rodic's tapsilog.

I'm into oatmeal with fruits, specially pineapple and bananas and maybe some nuts now and then.
But i really really crave for very healthy servings of deep fried bacon, heapfulls of tinapa rice with toasted garlic and two sunny side up eggs that's over easy. This would go well with a cup of hot Batangas Chocolate - thick cocoa.
Or if a little adventurous, I miss the breakfast from Infanta, Quezon, their deer tapa - deep fried and steel wool crispy, with a couple of LUKBAN Longanisa and garlic rice with crunchy chicharon bits. A side salad of kesong puti, salted eggs, pajo bits, onions and tomatoes provides the yang as opposed to the deer tapa taste.
Hidden valley in Alaminos used to serve these type of breakfast - buffet style, I dont know if they still do.
Gotta go back there one of these long weekend days... |
