my hometown is a typical kampung which is located on the hilly mountains..very near to Genting Highlands, so the weather there is so cooling and refreshing..many urban KLites come to my kampung to have a short vacation and picnic by the river..the kampung is also well-known for company's outing doing those teambuilding thingy like the jungle trekking to the Ulu Tampit waterfall and to Mount Nuang....there are many cows, goats and those ayam kampungs roaming about the street and its kinda a nice scene where you can never find in the cities...there are also lots pf fish ponds scattered in the kampung..so many people go there for fishing thrill...

but one thing for sure, i always love the authentic food that made by the veterans there...Ikan Patin masak Lemak cili padi with tempoyak......ikan keli goreng berlada, pucuk paku goreng...perghh..i'm drooling here!!!!!

so guess where is my hometown..!!

EDIT: ekekeke..Sarah, you made me drooling too..hihihi..i know where you come from! Pekabo? hahaha..

Say what?
My hometown is famous for satay and lontong for breakfast. Yes, we have satay for breakfast.

In the afternoon, its famous for the mee bandung, soto ayam and the infamous asam pedas ikan mayung.

It also have this blackbeans apam which i cannot find elsewhere in malaysia. Similar apam could be found in Japan. The wet market sells balitong (siput sedut) that comes in grades, u can find those as big as your thumb. We are alo blessed with fresh mussel (kupang).

I love my home town because i grew up there.

Sorry Angel, I must object: it's "laksa, DOGS and roundabouts"...LOL

The "cat city" theory was developed just to boost tourism. Cat is actually called "pusak" in Sarawak, and nobody calls it "kucing", except for "Lepeh" =)

Not much cats around but it's full of stray dogs.

Pengayap is from the same town. It's true about the lousy buses and roundabouts, but porn? Maybe pengayap's house, Kuching is definitely not famous for porn...

There is another goodie Kuching is famous for: Ikan Terubuk Masin (salted terubuk fish). It's a must try for all visitors to Sarawak! And Kuching is the only city in Malaysia with 2 mayors (divided into DBKU and MBKS)...

Nasi Kerabu, Nasi Dagang, Tom Yum, Budu, Ulam and other stuff I don't know how to type in English...

Of course, back at my home town, it is the beautiful temples and natural beauty (some people are still so keen to destroy them, but let's face it... its a developing world today).

The proudest thing that I feel about my hometown? Pak lebais and Buddhist monks sit together sipping cup of coffee... this is indeed a sight to behold, especially in the Northern States of Malaysia... that's what you hardly see anywhere else in Malaysia! Most people would stare blank when they see a Buddhist monk even in the Klang Valley.

I have a very strong inclination to the paddy fields and the mountain range nearby... it makes me miss 'home' so much... I missed the peace, the wonders and simplicity of life.

On the other home town of mine... presently its full of bombs and seperatist movements... I wouldn't call it my 'hometown' anymore... not many people want to go back there, getting shot point blank or waking up in the middle of the night having your house burn down or seeing your dad getting beheaded in front of your eyes...

My hometown is famous for its traffic jam 24/7, speeding (and bribing afterwards), mat rempits, and the racist corrupted politicians.

obviously there's still the shopping malls, mamaks, and hot chicks to compensate for it, but that's besides the point.

Sigh, I still love my hometown though. The food there is too delicious to pass it up.
