My achievement in life was graduating college. I feel great that i never used drugs and always worked. I feel so good. I would never say that i am better then any one else. I yet achieved my most fulfilling achievement. I want to work in a field that i can change people's lives. I want to wake up everyday and feel happy to go to work b/c i will be helping someone. Thanks for this question :) |

I've seen this question somewhere, I think from one of those celebrity askers.
My most fulfilling achievement in life? When I invented Ice Cream.
Ok, maybe I didn't invent it, but I'm sure that would be a fulfilling achievement. ;o) |

for one thing, i'm glad i'm done with formal schooling and that i'm working now. but i do believe that learning doesn't stop in the classroom so i guess i'd be forever learning about life, love and things i've never known. |

Having worked with, for, and by the people when i was with the human rights movement is one of my most fulfilling achievements.
Hiked hills, climbed mountains and crossed rivers to deliver relief assistance (medicines, food, clothing) and to document human rights violations perpetrated against civilians caught in the middle of the armed conflict between insurgents and military forces.
From the data gathered in those mercy missions, fulfillment came in the form of human rights campaigns that worked and won significant victories in the halls of congress and senate, having educated the victims of their rights, and having gained support groups for the human rights cause.
On a more personal level, there's nothing more fulfilling than the smile on people's faces and their warm welcome when i go back to their communities for a visit.
The human rights struggle is far from over; but, i am happy to have contributed some of my time and skills with, for, and by the people. |

My most fulfilling achievement(s) in life is to have a college degree despite being from a poor family. My parents were just farmers and I studied here in Manila thru a scholarship and financial support from my aunt.
At the age of 12, I learned to sell fish and fruits in our barrio riding my old bike..I even assisted my Lola in our sari sari store.. During high school. I started my buy and sell business going house to house buying empty bottles, scrap metals and sold them to the town.
I learned to be independent when I was 16 when I studied college here in Manila. Im proud to say that even I'm very far from my parents, I studied very hard and never tried any vices like drugs, smoking or drinking.
At age 22, I bought a small lot where we constructed my house when I was 25.
In 1999, I started a business while being regularly employed in a multinational company. that business grew little by little and still growing up to now..
Of course, one of my biggest achievements is when I got married, had a wife and 2 healthy baby boy.. |

I'm only 20 years old, so my greatest acheivements have been getting accepted to college, where I became independant and motivated and it was also finding the man I want to marry in a couple of years. To some these may not seem like such great milestones, but I still have a while to reach some higher, less atainable goals. |

I have already achieved some goals in my life but to say the most fulfilling one....I guess not. I am still working on it for most of my life and I can't say I will be able to if the present situation continues to loom gloomy and unprofitable. Anyway, as some people would say:" While there's life, there's still hope." I can't let a defeatist attitude overrule my optimistic self, can I? I have done it so far, I can do it for much longer. Thanks for the question, it helped bring to mind new perspectives in life that need to be altered, rearranged or prioritized. |

it depends on what phase of my life i'm asked this question.
when i was in my teens and 20's. my greatest achievements were very tangible milestones: first gf, graduating hs, college, grad school, first real job, first car, first home, a promotion, engagement, reaching a certain income level....blalalalah.
after i got married, bought a real home, and started having kids--my perspective in what provides fulfilment changed drastically. LITERALLY overnight, earning 6 figures, eating out, being "cool", driving a luxury sports car, watching sports on your 42" TV and vacationing in Europe became meaningless achievements, in relation to the benefits gained from raising a family right and keeping it right and doing work that serves others less fortunate.
Although these new goals are very intangible and difficult to measure, I realized that it's what really made me "at peace" with myself--which is the core tenet of reaching HAPPINESS and staying HAPPY. |
