Usually the first impression people get of me is that I am unapproachable due to my physical size. I have learnt to live with it because, at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter what others think.
Once they get to know me they realise that I am only a gentle giant who is easily approachable. |

Deep thinker and intelligent( now, I am not being conceited)
Also i am mistaken for being promiscuous(I dont know why) but i am the other way around-very conservative and serious when it comes to relationship. |

that i am suplada and mataray. i may have this "ice queen" look but after you have gotten past my defenses, i can be one of the sweetest and most caring people that you will ever know.
i feel amused. i do try my best to be reachable though by meeting people halfway. |

sorry, im not really into making impressions and minding about them. others will always have a say about you or what you do and etc. and you can't please everybody.
if i always mind what they have to say about me, nothing will happen to me but a paranoid. just be yourself! |

Suplada and high maintenance. A guy I liked in college didn't want to ask me out because he thought I was "high class". When we went out as a group and he saw me drinking Red Horse, it totally changed his mind about me. People only think I'm a snob because I'm not very ma-chika to those I don't know. |

i don't get mad, hurt or insulted. i just show them who and what i really am. at times i approach them first na when i feel like they're uncomfortable and hesitant to approach me. |

Physically? That I look Chinese, I'm not chinese nor do I have chinese blood.
When I speak on the phone, they have to guess what is my nationality (I work in Costumer Service) because I don't have Filipino accent nor slang. In fact, they told me I don't have any noticeable accent at all.
Character? They think I'm aloof until they got to know me better.
How do I deal with it?
Just smile. I'm used to it. When I was in Hongkong for a holiday, no Filipino would talk to me because they thought I was from Nepal (that's what they told my Eurasian mother-in-law who they thought was a Filipino She look like a typical Portuguese lady). When I go out to eat during fasting month (I live in Malaysia), the server would ask me if I'm a Malay, so I decided to wear a big crucifix when I go out. I can even eavesdrop whenever there are Filipinos gossiping because no one thinks I'm their countryman. Someone even mistook me for an Indian girl, how I wonder, because I'm a mestiza.
Foreigners normally would go to me to ask questions when they hear me talking to other hotel guest. They told me that I speak very clearly and they could understand me. |

When I was 11 someone (a stranger yelling from across a street) asked me if I was a boy or a girl. People had been asking my for years and I got tired of it. I yelled back "neither!". |
