Did you know that the top 3 biggest malls in the world is in the Philippines? The 3rd biggest is the SM ( Shoemart ) Mall of Asia, the 5th is the SM Megamall and the 9th is the SM North Edsa.

What about HOTEL HOPPING? I am a doctor and had been checked in by different drug companies for their medical symposiums in the almost all 5 star hotels in the country! Why dont you start with Manila Hotel, it is one of the oldest hotels in the Philippines. The lobby is quite big and elegant where you can sit down and relax! After going to Manila Hotel , you can go to the Baywalk at night and experience night life there! I think it is more enjoyable to go there on weekends. Around the vicinity of Manila Hotel is Intramuros! It is the proof of Spanish influence in the Philippines for 300 years! There are nice restaurants over there which offers buffet at a reasonable price, I think it is usually for early dinner! 2 of the oldest churches are there, like " The Cathedral" & " San Agustin Church." There is also a museum at the San Agustin Church. These churches and restaurants are the venues of elegant weddings!
Go to the CCP ( Cultural Center of the Philippines) Complex and you can go biking over there. You can rent bicycles! Go to the Philippine Plaza! Dont forget Fort Santiago in Intramuros where Dr. Jose Rizal was exiled during his last few days and brought to Bagumbayan ( now Luneta) where he died. See his monument!

As for the other recommeded hotels are located in Makati City! I love also the lobby of Manila Peninsula! It is only at the New World Hotel in which I felt I was safe after swimming! There are rubber mattings from the area of the pool to the shower area! Unlike in other hotels in which you feel as if you are going to have an accident while taking a shower. Makati Shangrila is located at the heart of Makati! I love its location! You can walk around the night spots and go back to your hotel room!

Dont ever miss the oldest university in the Philippines along Espana, Manila! The University of Santo Tomas! It is where Dr. Jose Rizal, our national hero studied. You will feel relaxed while you walk over this campus. There are many trees and there is a botanical garden! Go to the church! There is museum at the 2nd floor of the Main Building! It is where I had my pre-med days!

What about Manila's Chinatown? Go to Ongpin, the most recommended restaurant there is The President! Dont go there on Sundays since most stores are closed! Binondo is another place to explore and is the famous 168 of Divisoria. 168 is the shopping mall which is not only famous for local residents but also to most balikbayans and foreigners. It is cheaper than Mongkok's nightmarket in Hongkong!

Hmmm.......................in metro Manial, Intramuras (the old spanish city), some of the churches (my friend took me to the one where she got married, because if you get married there you supposed don't get divorced....didn't work for her) there are some museums as well, and near the central bank there is a nice art gallery.

But metro manila is not really on the tourist trail and is mostly a tourist free area.

Intramuros will be a great place to start. Visit the churches, Manila Cathedral, Quiapo Church, etc.. If you want to shop, there's the Mall of Aisa, 168 Mall. In the evening, the Bay Walk is full actvities.. If you want to see the rest of the Philippines, visit Lakbay.com
Have a safe trip.

Manila is a metropolis and like any modern city in other countries, it has mega shopping malls, and world-class hotels and places for entertainment. There are interesting historical sites and landmarks. Dining out is also a gourmet experience in Manila. The bay in Manila has a gorgeous sunset. You can find more descriptive details including photos on places of interest in Manila by checking the Philippines department of Tourism page on the web or just check Manila. You will be able to determine the "best" place for you to see depending on your own preferences. Welcome to Manila, Philippines!

Marikina River Park, Marikina River Banks, Santa Lucia, S.M. Cubao. Those are good places to see and shop too!

hi! i don't know ur age that's y i can't specifically tell u, but if usually hang out at nite, u can spend ur evenings at malate area having dinner (the best is Chateau 1771) with a friend or u could try strolling at the Baywalk esp ds time of the year, enjoy the cool breeze minus the smell of the manila bay. if u know how to play golf, go to fort bonifacio. if ur a music lover, try philam auditorium for a concert. after watching, try eating "goto" in front of mla. hotel, then proceed to mnla hotel for a nitecap or u cud just go for barhopping, and then spend some time at dangwa to enjoy the beauty of flowers being delivered all the way from baguio. after this iterenary for one night, it's time to call it HOME SWEET HOME. (by the way i'm already 42 and i have done it when i was in college, with some exceptions)

Like any other national capital, Manila is not tourist friendly!

If you are going to the Philippines and arriving at NAIA, get out of Manila as fast as you possibly could and go somewhere else like Palawan, Mindoro or anywhere else that is 50Mi(or about 1hr drive) away from NCR.

If you drink alchohol - try lambanog, most foriegners also like tanduay rhum (good value) and of course San Miguel Beer!

Manila = No no no for foriegners, you'll get robbed

Lushbabe4ever
Intramuros, Manila zoo, Luneta Park, Baywalk and the churches. (
