What are the reasons why foreigners visit the Philippines?

I dont think there is a simple answer to this. The truth is people going to the Philippines are one of the following :-
1. Retirement (due to cheap living costs if living on a pension from another country).
2. Holiday/Vacation (this also includes the sex trades).
3. Education (cheap studies for students).
4. Business (Either on imports or exports).
5. Expats (Currently people like myself who have decided to call it a day and move to a country where life is more simple and not over complicated by government interference).

What else just look at the ridiculous posts all over the place in this forum!

For the Asians:
South Korea: I heard from a reliable source that South Koreans go to
the Philippines to learn English for a very cheap Price.

Taiwan: Business and pleasure, the Philippines are a bunch of islands that offer a very cheap vacation and business deals.

Japan: I know that the Japanese are not longer visiting Australia in huge number like they used to in the past, and they are now choosing closer and cheaper Asian regions for vacations. They are no longer as rich as before, so they are cutting cost.

Young lady, to understand your research, better start searching for yourself. Being lazy will not help you a bit. So be a good girl for your own sake.

Everyone has a different reason for going to visit The Philippines. But, you cannot ignore the way Angeles City and the usual hootchey kootchey trades flourish and cater to foreigners. It's easy money but it attracts a certain kind of visitor/clientele.

Everything seems to be Cheap unless your earnings are not in US dollars. Pretty much whats in the US gets there . A CD for example.If I were to purchase a CD in the US the $ when converted to the Philippine currency can get me3 CD's over the philippines.

I got my first Philippines experience when I was serving in the U.S. Navy in 1988. I was 19 years old during this time and I really enjoyed the experience.
I departed Philippines in 1990 and never return until 2005.
What I like about Philippines is low cost of living. My money go a long way. I enjoy the innocent sweet humble attitude of filipino children.
The close family culture is beautiful. The christmas season is sweet.
I love to make innocent children smile. They show honest appreciation when they receive a gift.

All the negative aspects of Philippines is like a deteriorating disease.

i get asked that alot. when i go there people ask me why i like it so much.

its different then california the littlest things in philippines are beautiful. its all about culture i love it. the food is different the mannerisms of people and i like traditions too.

You have to do that yourself. This is not help me with my homework and give me the answer time. I think what your planning to do is get some answers from here and try to find more than one of the same answers. From there you find out how they got that answer and you'll be done.
The way you research something like this is either go on line or at the library and read about the Filipino culture and the way of life. Ask yourself what are great places to go and visit, what are the hot spots in the Philippines, what's new, and ect. ect. You want to find out what is so appealing to others on why they visit the Philippines.

there dollars are worth it. they get more than out of their dollars.

everything is cheap for them - education for koreans,cost of living for US and Japan.

the other reasons are for leisure,relaxation since we have good tourists spots here.

Well, according to my cousins from Dubai, things here are way cheaper especially clothes.

It's a warm climate where you can enjoy the outdoor activities.
The money exchange allows you to have a thorough vacation without going broke to do it.
The people mostly speak and understand English language
There are numerous sights of natural beauty as well as historic landmarks.
The lifestyle is more slow and less stressful than other places and that makes for more relaxing time.
People talk to each other.
