Interracial relationships are perfectly healthy and normal.
Yes, I admit that there will be a few misunderstandings but TRUE LOVE for each other is the strongest force that overcome many obstacles. I have flaws, my wife have flaws but we are doing just fine. I am very patient because I know that we all are not perfect.
I am willing to accept and adopt the Filipino culture.
I am so much in Love. It makes my life beautiful and colorful.
Interracial couples make very pretty kids. No birth defects. No problem at all.
The only problem with interracial couples is ignorant, narrow minded, biased and stupid people who need to be concerned about their own happiness. |

I am Filipino-American and my husband happens to be black. We've been married for almost 15 years now. We are like soulmates and I am very fortunate to marry my best best friend! He is very kind and considerate and totally devoted to our relationship. We like the same things and always try and do things as a couple. He loves my parents and actually knows quite of bit of tagalog and a fan of Filipino foods. Love knows no bounderies or color barriers. If you like the guy, then that is what should matter, right? After all, we are ALL human beings...we eat, breathe the same air and have emotions, feelings. Go by your heart and not what other people may think. Good luck to you! |

It doesn't matter whom you have a relationship with. It is always challenging, painful and rewarding. Always requires sacrifice and maturity to handle.
It is not finding the right person, but being the right person.
Good luck! |

Race or ethnicity doesn't matter in relationships. What matters most is that you have love for each other and that you can accept each others differences. You can learn from your friends different ethnic cultures. At least people living in America, that is how it is. But relationships is all about understanding each other and having a decent common ground with each others personality. |

i'm a filipina and i'm married to a white man. we've been together for 5 years and we've never had any problems with us being from different cultures. keeping an open mind and open heart with each other's family and culture makes for a healthy relationship. good filipino food is a plus too...hehehe. |

I'm in a interracial relationship right now. There wasn't a problem because he's very understanding.
I learned a lot and still continue to learn but at the end of the day it's all about being in love with each other. |

Sorry, don't have thoughts about it.
I still prefer "Pinays", the best and perfect race for me. Thumbs Up please.... |

nothing wrong with interracial relationships, yeah it can be difficult at time, with the different cultures and beliefs, but that is somthing one gets even in a ""normal""' relationship.
as long as you love each other, you're there for each other and need to keep an open mind, being different i think actually makes for a stronger relationship in the long run..
happy fourth |

I'm brown Filipino man living with a caucasian European girl. It's really tough the first months, but eventually a pair grows into it. Small differences like how christmas is celebrated, what to eat and what to buy for our home are some things we sometimes can't get along about. I believe it helps if the couple is living in neither's home country when the relationship is developing. I really can't explain why.
I'm supposed to propose to her yesterday... I moved it to Friday. Can't stop shaking when I think about it. |

I have never been in an interracial relationship but I think LOVE should not be bounded by color of skin, differences in language and culture or even belief. It is something that doesn´t seem to mind anything except the matters of the heart! All people should be open to the idea that one cannot control the heart on who to fall inlove with..
You know what I am highly against with?? its having multiple affairs when you are already committed to one!!, that is just undeniably despicable!
anyway here´s ur star!^^ |

When there is love and respect, nothing matters. I've been married to my caucasian husband for four years and we've been together for a total of 11. My parents were a little worried at first, but learned that my husband comes from a very open, warm and compassionate family. My sister-in-law was adopted from Korea, my husband was born and raised in Hawaii, so I think that these factors helped him to be the open-minded person that he is today. We are fortunate to live in the San Francisco Bay Area where there are many interracial marriages and many mixed children.
As a teacher, I see many interracial couples with beautiful children. I don't see any of my mixed students as having problems with identity and I see their parents as wonderful examples of embracing all cultures of their ethnic background. |

Go ahead - but you must be accepting of the children. |

I think they are great, and they taste just like chicken ! (joke)
I am in an interracial relationship, I wouldn't have it any other way. Differences are what define us. If someone were exactly like me I'd avoid them out of sheer boredom. |

As long as their is love and respect, there shouldn't be any problems.
I am marrying a Filipina soon and I don't think we'll have any problems. We didn't have any problems before when we were in Japan and I don't see anything coming up in the future. It is all about respect and good communication. |

Same thing here. I'm in a relationship with a European guy. We might differ in skin color but we have the same beliefs and values. He's a Roman Catholic like me, family oriented, thoughtful, same wave length, we have great fun together and just like the other couple we also have misunderstandings sometimes. We speak our mind and LISTEN to each other then we always try to be more understanding, open minded, and always end up with a sweet smile, 'I love you', and kisses. We never forget that we are together because we love, trust and respect each other. <*-*> |

Congratulations on your relationship with your current boyfriend. I think interracial relationships are perfectly fine under the following conditions: you have a healthy view of your own race and culture (not disrespecting women or men of your culture), you can embrace his or her race and culture, and you can accept that others may have strong feelings against, strong feelings for, or may be indifferent. |

i don't see anything wrong with that. i just think that moulotto kids have a harder life than any other ethnicity. culture isn't very accepting |

Hi,
Interracial relationships are harder in the long term.
Although you and your partner may get along well, basically that is because you adapt to each other, there may be cultural differences between your two families that could eventually cause a rift between you.
If your families live in different countries that could cause problems in the future.
Your children will be odd coloured and that will have an effect on their lives.
I think you should consider the long term effects before you take the plunge.
