Everyone cares to a point or there wouldn't be jokes.
I don't lose sleep over others approval but if I can make someone laugh it makes me feel good too.
But frankly, You can't fill my shoes anymore than I would fit yours and your judgment of me is very unimportant..
You are going to meet a lot more people you don't like or agree with than those you do.
So who cares? |

i am one of those people. i don't care what other people say about me. i don't look at other people and judge them, so i don't care what they say or think. i'm the sort of person who accepts whatever type of person and i'm not judgmental. i know for a fact that we are individuals of great worth, and that nobody's perfect. i'm not perfect, there's bound to be something wrong with me and i accept that. nevertheless, and inspite of my shortcomings, i'm happy and content with my life. why should i bother myself with what others say about me? it's just going to make life more complicated. life is hard and complicated already, why more add stress into your life? |

they are free. because they go about their lives not concerned what others think of them they will not adjust their behavior to try to please those who they perceive have a particular viewpoint about them. therefore they are under no self imposed control of their own behavior.
Hence, they are free.
I am an American living with my wife and three daughters in Mindanao, I do not care at all what others think of me, with the exception of my wife and kids.
My wife, who is a pinay, cares a great deal about how she is perceived by others.

I'd say everyone needs to be accepted, and I have never met anyone (yet) who finds satisfaction in being rejected.
These people (who carries rejection well) i guess are individuals who sincerely believe in their cause, who are confident enough of themselves on not being affected MUCH of other people's opinion. (there a few who even receive antagonism as a challenge). |

These are the people that generally are high achievers, such as managers of establishments etc. Most people who say they do not care about other peoples opinions or the way they are perceived by others are lying.
The genuine individual that does not give a hoot about the way they are perceived, are free to concentrate on achieving and getting what they want from life (and other people.
It must be quite liberating being such a person. |

almost everyone go crazy when some dummies who talk like chicken bad mouth them in front of all the people.
but those inhabitants are way too great to not mind what the society thinks, as long as what they're doing is correct, and they're happy.
not everyone can do that. they are what you call "cool", but "mentally strong" individuals.
if it was me, it would take me a life to make it happen.
thinking too much about all those darn people around would make you go freaking nuts. also, it prevents you from being truly happy.
why? because you can't do what you want.. for you think about how the human race would react to your actions --when in fact, they don't actually care. it's just you who think that way. |

you shouldnt say anything. people that are able to enjoy themselves and be themselves without caring what other people think are probably having the time of their life. its really a great thing to be able to just let loose and not care. judging and picking people apart is a waste of your time and its also immature and petty. |

It is their own business and I always have high respect on other people's opinions. I admire them when they can say their thoughts very eloquently without hurting other people's feelings and not sounding too harsh and abraisive and yet still get the message through. However one expresses his or her thoughts, the person will still be COOL as far as I am concerned. Cheers. |

to me,i think they don't really mean it and they're just lying to themselves because i KNOW that deep down inside they really care what others think of them. i'm sure everyone actually does. cause if they didn't,why do we practise change? why do we have to change ourselves? sure,it can be for ourselves and not for people but yet,im sure everyone cares about fitting in,impressing others,and making sure people would think of you as something pleasant and not negative.
and yet we find people who have cared for others too much that they decide to be more self-conscious and think only about themselves. it's complicated. that's why the world is round.
and No, they're not 'Cool'.
