It buys you food which is the most important thing in a person's life. Sustenance.
Then, it can buy you clothes, not the branded ones so you can stretch your money to accommodate other necessities.
It can pay your bills i.e. electricity, water and phone. But, what is 5T these days? A week's food consumption... a month's bill payment...a cellphone that is inexpensive...a night of fine dining with the family....that's for the rich. For the poor, it is a blessing one hopes to stretch for one month. |

Ooh the options are limitless. Reasonable people would pay off bills, buy groceries, invest in stocks, pay a tuition bill, buy their kids some clothes...
But in the Philippines they will just put a downpayment on the latest cell phone, "treat" their friends on yet another impromptu "like there's no tomorrow" party and other activities that they hope will showcase to others that they have more wealth than they truly have.

I don't know. sa hirap ng buhay ngayon,I would say nothing much can be done with that amount. It's like spending it for one day with 10 people in a cozy Restaurant. Depends on what kind of living you're used to. Everything is going expensive in the Philippines.Mom told me that things from my side is much2 more cheaper than there. It worries her, thingking how the poor people could survive it. You're lucky if 5,000 pesos could last you enough for 2 weeks. |

That will buy 250 tickets for tomorrow's Super Lotto, at P20 each. This P5,000 could just win the pot that is now over P150 million. |

One man would try to think of a way to use it to make a few hundred a day of repeat sells.
One man would spend that in the local bar.
One lady might buy clothes for her kids.
One lady might buy clothes for her curves.
Tell me this. How much does a fat hog weigh? |
