Um, that they are Filipinos. Really though...I think it depends on who you ask. I'm Mexican, and like Filipinos....friendly and hard-working people. |

From personal experience, I used to travel all over Mexico every other week due to my job in the tourist industry for over 5 years and i find them accepting of me as one of them more than they did my boss who was a white guy. They would rather deal with me with the company contracts than with my boss. And that is saying a lot how acceptable filipinos are to them. They treated me with high respect and even invited me to stay in their homes rather than staying in Hotels that were provided for me by my employer. |

Mexicans and Spaniards are the same as everybody else. We all have different opinions and they aren't based on our ethnicity, it's based on personal experience and opinion. I think filipinos are great, I love their culture and the filipinios I've met have been very attractive. =)
I don't understand what being Mexican or Spanish has anything to do with it. |

Coming from a fight fan, I would think Mexicans think of Filipinos as passionate people. As they come form a somewhat common Spanish heritage, the two countries have a lot in common.
Of recent boxing events though, I ithink Mexicans hold Filipino fight fans and their boxers as worthy opponents and fair competitors. And the respect is mutual in my opinion.
Go to the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on April 14, and you'll know what the two peoples think of each other.
Just bringing in a different perspective. =)
Cheers! |

this is coming from a filipino-american perspective and my experiences in california and texas. for the most part, mexican americans are pretty cool w/ filipinos. ive met a few that were curious about my spanish first and last name and me being of filipino descent...to them it just didnt match the ones that dont have an idea that spain has a history in the PI pretty much lump filipinos with other asian groups not knowing that filipinos have both asian and spanish blood in their veins. but basically when u educate people about it, its just like any other thing.
they sure do like filipino food...and i sure do like mexican girls :) |

Well I am not Mexican but I am Hispanic so I guess it still counts. I personally don't know many filipino guys but I do know some girls. I think their culture is very friendly and outgoing. Also most of them are really smart. I have talked to Filipino girls before, and don't repent from doing so since again, they are people easy to get along with. |

I'm mexican and i like very much the filipinos, your people have a very nice beauty. The only thing i just don't understand is when i like to talk about our a common past with our spainard heritage, all the filipinos i meet, don't like to talk about it, they say they only like the USA age. I really don't get it, but anyway, i'm still thinking filipinos are great. |

quite honestly most mexicans are unaware that filipinos have spanish influences, the first time I met a filipino I was very surprised to find that she had a spanish surname. Most Mexicans find it fascinating. Its really cool to find that we share something in common with a culture that is so distinct. |

Hi there! In my experience here in Florida, many ILLEGAL Mexicans out here are uneducated or uncivilized so some one of them are just like any janitor, gardener, and vendors... I am a filipino and i though that Mexicans are much better than Filipinos! But i am still proud that MEXICO and PHILIPPINES are brother of the 3rd world! |
