1:The citizens who think they're so educated and high class but in actual fact act like baboons.
2:Service charges at restaurants when we get crap service.
3:The hot weather.
4:Too much foreign workers. The government should impose stricter immigration laws.I think we have enough local talent.
5:GST for this and that and it's a bloody 7%!I'm not very rich. |

I dislike two things about Singapore:-
1) The expressionless faces of the Chinese people.
2) The high cost of liviing. |

The Newton Law says: everything goes up must come down, but hawkers food prices, once gone up, never come down, the same also for the drink prices in the coffee shops. They are, to me, the main cause of inflation. The lower income people's life are getting more difficult because of these blood suckers.

When they said price increase... the next day price increase...
last time when oil was up the transport companies said oil too high they had no choice so they increased the price of the fare... and now the oil is down none of them mention about reduce price of the fare...

Since the question directly asks about what I hate about singapore I will tell you few things...
1-Cost of Living
2-Unnecessarily Strict Laws/Rules
3-Self Centered & Materialistic People (Majority but not all)
If I to state what I love about Singapore the list will be much longer than what I hate for sure...
This all depends on where you come from & what you have seen on the other side of the fence, I come from a bad place.. so I know how lucky I'm to live in Singapore. |

I don't hate Singapore : S There are some things I don't like though, like pushy selfish drivers on the road and I wish there were more nice beaches : ) I just moved back here after living overseas for about 10 years. People sometimes think the grass is greener on the other side. |

Woh I think hate is a bit strong. Overall my experiences in Singapore were on the nicer side ranging from pleasant to pleasurable but there are a couple of occasions where I thought the locals (they are Singaporeans trust me) were rude and arrogant. Then again, this can also happen in Hong Kong or London.
Another 'unpleasant' thing about Singapore is the "artificial, manufactured triviality" of it all; I can't really nail it down but you sense it. Many people bother too much with "what & where to buy" and it makes me wonder what Singaporeans will do with their time if the island city has no shopping malls... mmm... maybe this is unfair of me to point this out. I suppose if that's what you like, then by all means shop till you pop!
It is also in the news that you will have not 1, but 2 mega mega integrated resorts crowned with Vegas-style casinos each. Again continuing down the road of "manufactured" distractions to attract visitors. Asians may flock to these brand new meccas but many really do not need another Macau in this part of the world. Pity.
I admire Singapore and her leadership for many things but not the way they 'intimidate' opposition political parties to extinction. This side of Singapore is ugly and not conducive to society building.
What kind of future are you building? A generation yearning for material wealth, or one with a caring set of people? I think this is the reason why Australia is such a marvelous country. Australians care. For themselves. For others around them and in the world. You think Singaporeans can learn from Australia? |

Actually excluding the 4 things I like which are food, weather, convenience and good mix of western-asian entertainment/music/movies, I hate almost everything else about Singapore - especially all the systems e.g. educational (elitist), governmental (stifling), judicial/ legal (cruel), military (oppressive), etc. |
