Welcome to Malaysia!
We have variety of choices, from restaurant to hawker stall and pasar malam(night market), cake shops(bakery), western food, italian food, japanese & korean food, indian food, vietnamese and thai food, mid-east&mediterranean food, chinese food(cook from china) and lastly our local Malaysian malay/indian/chinese food our cooking is simple but very nice using (herb/spicies, fresh seafood, coconut milk etc..), local fruits are mango, durian, water melon, rambutan, pamelo, quava, papaya, banana and fyi, imported fruits are selling in stalls and hypermarkets.

exampe..For malay cooking you can have nasi lemak(rice cooked with coconut milk), satay(bbq merinated beef/chicken), curry(seafood/meat cooked with hot spicies/herbs/chilli), curry noodles, sup kambing(lamb soup), murtabak(beef/chicken/union wrapped in skin fry in hot flat pan), rojak(malay version salad), kopi(coffee), banana/tapioca fitters, roti canai(malay bread), teh tarik(pull tea), desert(ice-kacang), kuih muih (sweet&savoury cakes/biscuts/desert), coconut water..etc ..buffet
Chinese cooking, bak kut teh(pork w herbs soup), char siu fan(bbq pork rice), hainam chicken rice, wan tan noodle, char kuey teow noodle, yong taufo, seafood, pork&chicken buns/pao, yum cha-dim sum(touch of the heart), taufofa(soya pudding w syrup)...etc
Indianfood including chapati(indian bread), indian curry, all the hot/spicy food..etc

Public transport-LRT, KTM(train/commuter), limousine, buses and taxis. Bring small change when you take buses ok :))

Languages we spoke are english, malay, chinese n tamil(indian). Most of the people can understand english so don't worry. There are photo shops made convenient for you. And we have strict rules imposed by the government for travellers-no drug/no weapon/no illegal documents. Anything else you wanna know. Pls, my advice, do practice safety-don't walk in dark places alone in malaysia and other countries.

Enjoy your trip and go sight seeing!

Japanese food is very common in Malaysia, you can find roll and maki sushi(yes w wasabe) in almost every supermarket and of course includes japanese restaurants. I like japanese curry rice and tempura :))

Lucky you!!!

The most thing I love about Malaysia is the people, I love the shopping centers, the mixed culture.

I don't hate anything in Malaysia it's my dream country, but I hate the heavy rain there, it's scary.
