I have to agree with everybody else Philippines is so much better. I used to live around Chicago, and know what what the whole state is like.

illinois is boring, it has chicago and some major ciiees and towns, but u can't get much of a cultural experience from illinois. i dont think it has that much of a culture and a history to begin with. ( i dont mean to offend illinois' citizens). the phillipines on the other hand is filled with culture, tradition and history and exotic cuisiness and experiences.you can learn soooooo much more from the philippines. id go hte philippines any time over illionis. i also think they're language, tagalog is very interesting. thers' a song by the black eyed peas in tagalog and its really pretty. you can listen to it on youtube

based on what? ive never been to illinois. so, tough call. joke. i would pick Philippines!

The Philippines. Simply because i am a filipino.

The philippines is rich in history, traditions and is exposed to different cultures. Filipino people are hospitable and fun loving. Our country may be behind in terms of technology but we can offer you the best that nature has bestowed on us.

Here in the Philippines we dont actually need to go out of the country to enjoy nature. We are a country blessed with natural resources.

The Philippines is also a country of mix culture. Unlike other countries, in our country every region has a culture different from every other region. Every province speaks in different tongues, not to mention, every place has adventure to offer.

The philippines is not as scary as the news projects. The country is not at all infested by terrorists, kidnappers and all other crooks known to the world. Yes, we have this and that at some time but the Philippines in general is country of peace loving people.

So you see, the Philippines is much better than any other country. Well, for me that is.

Just to kick back and relax, I would say the Philippines. Me and my wife plan to retire back in Cebu later on to get away from the USA, not Chicago in mind.

I love the Philippines for its culture, its warm weather and good people. However everytime I'm there I always want to cry seeing the poor kids asking me for change and the mere dispair of those who live on a garbage lot to survive. Its tough to look at. My heart can only bear so much.

But I will say I also love Chicago. Waukegan will always be my home because this place always seems to welcome me. Its where I grew up, where I played. It also doesn't help that we have 4 Filipino stores in this area, so I always get a little hint here and there.

Skissimin, you should be scared in Illinois than in the Philippines because IL is more of a terorrist target than the Philippines.
