What do you think about the Famous Boracay Island (White Beaches) in the Philippines? |
They said it is one of the most beautiful beaches in the whole-wide world, it's the next thing after paradise. I would ike to go there, but i still have no idea. what does it feel being there or what does it look like? |

I live in Manila and i've been going to Boracay at least 2 times a year for the last 5 years. That is because Boracay is now so accessible (from cheap airfares to the nautical highway). During peak season, Boracay is CRAZY. At night you'd see so many people walking on the beach you'd hardly see any sand. The party crowd of Manila will always be there during summer/new years. If your the type of person who likes to go clubbing/drinking you should definately hit up Boracay. PM me if you want more information about partying in Boracay.
If its the cerenity of the beach your looking for, stay away from Boracay. There are numerous beaches which are hardly known and not overcommercialized like boracay. Up north, there's Pagudpod. This beach faces the south china sea and is known for having Boracay quality sand without having the throngs of people.
In the Visayas, Bohol has many nice beaches. Bohol Beach Club on Panglao island definately gives you quality service. The last time I was there I hardly saw anyone on the beach, a very relaxing experience (this was during peak season too).
Palawan will always be the jewel in Philippine tourism. The resorts there are spectacular (as well as overpriced). There is so much to do there (if you dont party). The scenery is just amazing.
The Philippines has so many beaches (7,100 islands afterall), you can find your own "virgin beach". I remember a couple months ago I went down to Davao, which is the biggest city in Mindanao. My friends and I wanted to surf waves which no one from the big city has. We heard about this beach called Dahican. Its 3 hours out of the city, and it faces the Pacific ocean.
If only you could see the look on our faces as we carried our boards thru the thick brush, then as the foliage opened up out of nowhere we saw the beach and the waves. It was spectacular, truly a scene from a movie. Alas, there were locals there skimboarding, but they were very friendly and we had a great time on the beach.
I suggesty you find your own "virgin beach". It'll be a memory you'll remember for a lifetime. |

it's wonderful. words are not enough to describe it. you have to be there to discover why it's getting great comments. |

Boracay really is beautiful - white sands, clear waters, nothing like it. Really affordable, too. The only problem is that it's now overrun by tourists who decided that Boracay is so beautiful that they decided to live there! I'd still go, though. |

Boracay is nice but it's too commercialized. Go to Palawan, the "best" white beaches are there. Much...much better than Boracay. |

My wife and I go there every time we visit her family because it really is a special place. It has become a lot more commercialized now ... more people travelling from Japan and Korea and they put in a new retail shopping outlet there (kinda like shopping downtown from store to store).
Go to Waling Waling Resort at the very end of the beach. The best fricken seafood in the world and I'm not kidding you. Had my anniversary dinner there and I'll never forget it. Seafood is cheaper than most resort places I've been too and the alcohol is always cheap there. But the beaches/sunset are definitely picture perfect. I hang several pictures of my wife and inlaws in my home and I can't wait to go back. |

The sand in Boracay is incomparable. I've been to Pagudpud & Bohol, but Boracay still has the finest sand, IMO. It feels like silky powder. It does tend to get overcrowded during peak season, which can get pretty annoying. |

Too crowded and commercialized.
I'd rather go way up north to Ilocos Norte.
There's a beach resort where the beach has fine, talcum-like sand, water is a bit cold but great and, most importantly, not crowded.
Real peaceful.

Boracay island is one of the most beautiful beaches, a lot of foreign tourists have gone there and are impressed, most of them stay there for more than a month. a lot of resorts and hotels, so no problem with accommodations, the food is a variety coz most of them serve international cuisine. the beach is 7 kms long and it feels great to walk along the beach bcoz of the powdery white sand and its not hot even in the middle of the day.
hope u enjoy ur stay.. good luck and happy trip!! |

Its is really one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, really FINE sand, Its commecialized , meaning you have lots of food places and bars by the shore, for me its a "friends/barkada" destination.
Its a wonderful place to visit! really really worth it
Dont forget to try parasailing and the banana boat as well as snorkling! |

Its really worth spending time there either night or day....where you can splurge life. Last August I been there and I still enjoy the place. Also the people were friendly. Station one where most of the establishments are in great...Boracay is composed of 3 stations...station one is the best where you can find the most and improved establishments and make you enjoy sightseeing.
You may try go there for how many nights and you may enjoy life. |
