For my opinion, chinese people plays a big role in the Philippines' economy.
There are close to 1 million ethnic Chinese in the Philippines or approximately 1.5% of the population. Most of the Chinese are concentrated in the urban cities such as Manila and Cebu. The majority (85-90%) of the Chinese population are Hokkiens, hailing from Quanzhou, Nan’an county, the Tongan-Xiamen area and the Zhangzhou region.
The Chinese relationship with the Philippine society has alternated between alienation and acceptance since pre-Spanish times. Today, with intermarriages and the learning of Tagalog as the national language, many Philippine-born Chinese (or Tsinoys as they are known) are actively involved not only in the economic but also the civic and political life of the country

most of them own a business, belongs in the upper class of the society, mingle with their own kind, marry their own kind.
i'm not even sure if they care about the country. i have a classmate once, he was asked by the teacher where is his loyalty, he answered "china". |

Honestly- they are like parasites, feeding on Filipino Land, getting richer as the Filipino people get poorer.
They don't pay taxes, and generally, they are the reason why corruption ensues and will continue to be predominant in the country.
They live on Filipino soil, yet refuse to associate themselves with Filipinos. Why? I would never understand, but there are theories of their secrets...
Kidnapping- ever wonder why kidnappers prefer the chinese? mainly because they are also chinese, and they know exactly who to milk.
If the Philippines should ever prosper, it would be because these parasites have fled and we can only pray for that time to come.
Yes, they are smart, good in a lot of things- but that is the limit of their intelligence. They are selfish users who know no better than to enrich themselves. |

Honestly, they are labor abuser. I was employed in a Company own by a Chinese once and I promised myself I'll never work with chinese anymore. I always go to Divisoria for the cheap stuff and I always puke everytime I enter in the comfort room, they are so untidy.
But of course, I know that this is not a general norms for the Chinese. Chinese in the Philippines plays a great part in our economy and employs thousands of Filipinos. |

Do you want honesty or cute bull crap that will be a lie but please everyone ?
The Chinese in the Philippines can no more be generalized about than can generalizations be made that are correct for any group of people. Can we generalize about the Filipinos in China or the US.
Some of the Chinese in the Philippines are very rich and very powerful. Many more are very poor and have nothing. It is estimated that 78,000 Chinese enter the Philippines each year, illegally. These people are at the bottom of the social rung and struggle for their existence. |

lots of them are rich! I come from Kong Hua school, a chinese-filipino school. (i'm half chinese). I'm not rich but lots of my classmates have great stuff.
Chinese people also associate with "their own kind" more than they do with fellow Pinoys.
Just an observation. |

If I dont give you an offending answer, then will not be honest.
Most of them sucks!! specially the traditional Chinese. They treat Filipinos as lower class citizens, considering that they are just migrants and illegal aliens here.
Most of them are mukhang pera. Try to live in Binondo area and you will know what i mean.
They are also very untidy, try to enter the house of a Traditional Chinese. it stinks!! Chinese girls do not shave their armpits..they dont wash their clothes properly..
On the other hand, there are also Chinese who are nice, clean, and kind. But thats a very small part only. Mind you, my lola is also a pure Chinese. |

i have lots of Chinoy friends who are cool and are very nice people. but i know the more traditional ones (i mean the ones who live & have businesses in Binondo) thinks lowly of Filipino women. i dont understand the reason behind it, maybe we can call it racism in a way.
what i know is that a lot of Filipinos have some sort of Chinese blood in their ancestry. my mom for one is 1/2 chinese so i have nothing bad to say about them.
=====
btway, Lucio Tan is evil, man. he is a tax evader & very much involved with corrupt politicos. ever heard of Central Bank of Binondo? he owns it. its like a financial mafia. truly evil. |

Chinese in the Philippines cares with their own race, if you are chinese they are willing to help you when it comes to business.
Pure PINOY does not get help from Chinese. I am half chinese, my parent sent of us to chinese school, so we could associate with chinese people. They won't help you if don't speak chinese lanaguage. This is the truth, I hope that this will not offensive to TSINOY. |

They don't pay taxes. A Taiwanese described the Filipino Chinese as vampires. They suck the blood and get rich without giving anything in return.
They love corruption because they can pay and get away with anything. They worship money and care only about money.
They think the world of China but when they are in China they are thought of as foreigners and are lower class citizens there.
That's the reason they stay in the country even though there is the constant threat of kidnapping.
I wish they would care more about the Philippines and its people and less about money. |

To be honest I do not know much about the topic. I do know however some very good American Missionaries that love the Phillipines and I have met some Phillipino missionaries that love America and have such a respect for America because of how the Americans protectected the Phillipines in World War II. I would like to know more about the topic |
