hmmm good for them!!! I guess our propensity to be fat (it's more politically correct to say "exceedingly healthy") is a factor of both our lifestyle and our bone structure - which to a considerable extent is "dictated" by our culture and our genes, respectively.
vive la france!!! |

I’m French, I’m a woman…
All that is true.
I live in USA but I never go to a fast food restaurant to eat gazillions of empty calories and when I see a fat person, I can’t understand why somebody would do that do their body.
I don’t “snack” and I don’t understand why people eat in their car or standing up.
I spend hours groceries shopping and gourmet cooking so I can enjoy tasty, healthy food.
I never dieted, just eat healthy, flavorful and colorful and listen to your body.
I like to be active so I can eat what I want.
I’m 50, 5”5’ and 120lbs and I’m OK and wondering why all the magazines are about diet and weight issues?
Edit: Also, yes, I drink a lot of water and dress up outside of my house, even if it's just to get the mail in or the garbage out! |

It is a lovely article.
All women should celebrate life like the French.
Er, do the French make fat women renounce their citizenship? |

french women dont get fat because they are busy french kissing. |

Yes. It CAN be true but IS a stereotype. You'd find an equal list for valley girls, sports jocks etc. etc.
Societies are constantly changing too- they're adopting more and more of a fast paced society because of cultures they work with/around such as Britain. |

I am not french but I do the same now with the strict supervision of my british husband. We aim to live healthy when it comes to food and dieting; to look good and to feel good. |

nothing peculiar! since i know the french eats rabbits and that is said to help develop beauty in a woman. That's why i raised rabbits for meat here in manila and see the curves of my family.....dangerous curves ahead,no left turn, slippery when wet.
REPORTED! lol! |

French women seem to incorporate fashion with their food, not only in clothes =)
I have the privilege to work with French ladies and they all ahve these baby-ish skin despite their age. They all told me they RARELY or even NEVER eat anything fried except for occasional French Fries. |

It's sounds like a ploy but almost convincing. |

It does have alot of merit. I know they are very fussy about the food they eat and don't settle for second best and don't just plough through a meal. They eat slowly and enjoy the food. Unlike Filipino's do. |

I have heard so much about the French women and I find them amazing.
It's not about food, but it's your attitude towards food.

This book is the most brilliant diet book ever written. It is easier to lose weight when we allow ourselves portion-controlled treats. |

Well, some are lies, some are not. But, though, I think you should edit some of those. |

A simpler more thourough answer to not getting fat is:
EXERCISE HARD AND FAST. + Don't eat too much. = look good and not be overweight. |

Some of those things listed might be part of their culture. I gotta say i admire them for their culture. I have nothing negative to say about French women even if some of the things they do might be hard to comprehend (by people of different cultures).
No wonder Alizee looks hot. |

It will be a an investment to live "over-seas" for a time. Quality is chosen over quantity. Now it's time to observe. What do you see around you? Why do you think they call us pigs? |

It's true that Americans do eat a lot more than they need to sometimes but this is just a great example of why so many people think the French are snobs. the lady who wrote this was really full of herself. |

Hmmm interesting read.. though i havent read it
But ohh Im gonna get a lot of thumbs down for this...
the French may have good taste and class but most French (not all though) are racist (come on! Admit it) and their attitude towards people that are different from them is disgusting. Instead of hating people who look different from them, they should try to be more open and helpful. i think they should learn from the americans on this
anyhow, you guys may also read a good book SKINNY *********. |
