in general terms, nice people. lol those that i have met (not that i have been to the states) are really nice people. i was in love with a couple... oh wow... heHe i used to think the brits have sexy accent, now i think the americans do.

you may be surprised alot of them actually dont like how the systems in the country work. or maybe i have this magnificent affinity to those who think like that. lol

There are good people and bad people, just like in any countries.
And one of the first names that would come to my mind when you said 'Americans' is Oprah Winfrey.

I'd love to go to USA and see the people and cultures there someday.

Like every other country there are sure something to love & hate about.
I love the fact I've many American friends either work associates, studies buddies, online friends & penpals.
I love their fast food :P Mc D's, Pizza, Donuts & etc.
I love the movies, songs, dramas - Malcom in the Middle, Heroes, Gossip Girls, X-Files & etc. It's thru their songs & mass media I've improved a bit of my English.

But at the same time, some of the radical thinking of certain politicians made the whole world go chaos.
I find that because of their exposure towards things like weapons, sex, drugs & alcohol from an early age sometimes things go berserk e.g. shoot out in schools, people dying early from experimental drugs & etc. because of the image that sometimes mislead to the image of being "cool". The crime rate in NY, is actually the highest where ppl getting robbed & raped happend every day.

Overall US is a big country, if there's 1 word to define Americans I would say it's "open-minded".

i used to live in the States once and i found them very accommodating but at the same time kinda annoying too.. but i must compliment the neighborhood where i used to live..the people there are very nice and friendly.. some of them even help me around on my earlier days living there and we somehow became good friends until now... if given an opportunity to live there once again..i would!
