What do you think of Air Asia?

There is a price for everything. Try to imagine Air asia in 10 years from now. plane lack of maintenance, due to cheap fare that lower company maintain ace budget.
If u disagree, try look at Kl budget hotel 2 star and 3 star arround u.at 1st everything is new, for sure running smooth, 10 yrs later. Due to lack of maintain ace (as they are earning budget income), those hotel are like haunted.
the frequencies of flying for all plane is too high, plane easily got problem like every machinery's do.(don tell me NO)

Thats why u can see alot funny thing happen to Air Asia. Even there plane Tyre Also can burst when landing in Kota Kinabalu. yrs ago.

My complaints are about Air Asia's misleading advertising and pricing.

For example, Air Asia advertises a flight for only $15. However, this is only for airfare. In reality, there are other costs for which passengers must foot the bill, including a $14 petroleum surcharge, $2.50 in aviation insurance fees and $1.50 in security fees, as well as other costs. A ticket advertised at $15 will actually cost closer to $86 for a round trip flight.

On top of that, there are hidden fees, delay, cancellation and no refund!

The service, i think the most business mind company. What you pay that's what you get. Its really mean business, NO other word but MONEY IS BUSINESS. If you want to fly with them please and please do arrange your time properly, no excuses for miss flight or cancel flight. Do arrange your plan ahead and no backward once done. Sorry money back not guarantee. This what i think of AirAsia.
*ps/ I hope they wont think about charging for using the toilet next time.

its cheap but service is bad..the front seat is 1inch away from my face llool~

The service sucks but then again, you should be expecting it to be that way because it's cheap. My advice, bring your own drink or snacks because the food sold during flights are tripled in price.

A revolution in air travel within our region obviously, with lousy service provided, guaranteed! For whom can argue with the way they fly the aircraft, superb! just like the fighter jet, only this time with passengers of course. Traveled once to Kinabalu, I swear to you, we going to @#$%. My goodness, with the tight turns and stopping the aircraft at the very end of runway. Who can beat that! One good point here is the cheap tickets, courtesy of the very small print in the ads, the word "from". Even my own father can't believe his eyes until I pointed it out in the newspaper. It really, truly and unarguably revolutionized the way we travel this days ,...and please don't let me start on the delays......
Safe travel!

Leonidas
Heemmm, let see....
Cheaper tickets? Are you sure?
Departing and arriving 2 hours later!
No refund! You thief.....
Expensive meals available on board, do they advertise that in papers?
Very reliable crews?
Reliable aircraft?
Have to get familiar with "Pakcik, cepat sikit turun, kami banyak kerja lagi ni!"
When flight delay long hours,.... make sure that passengers don't eat or drink at all.......duh!
"Can't wait to land the aircraft" style of flying.

"Well, I don't see any reasons NOT to fly with Air Asia," someone said to me. Yeah, right!

phew! good info, tq.

I dont care weather it is a Malaysian venture, Sakai or Iban venture! People want adequate 'services' and refund!

Tony Fernandez- the owner should understand regardless people paid RM10, 'no refund' is also known as 'stealing' strategy! It is not ethical and so wrong. Period!

While he traveled 1st class somewhere every time, there are hundred of passengers who will be left without services and delays as usual. The least Air Asia could do is to give free a coupon/drink as a token.

Just because someone pay less, doesn't mean Air Asia has the right to treat or people get dubbed cheated inhumanly!

in terms of the service, AirAsia is quite lack of the efficiency . but overall we cannot compare AirAsia to Mas. MAS also has their own issues (ie: unfriendly cabin crew, ...).

but in terms of the price, it really sucks if you buy the ticket last minute. the cheap price only works if you're planning your journey months ahead. and when you wanted to reschedule your flight, the last price you'll get can be more expensive than Mas' ticket. and sometimes you cant negotiate with them about the excess luggage. the last time i was charged RM12 per kg!!! while with MAS, we usually can negotiate about the extra KGs. and they once let my extra 7kg passed the check-in counter. dont let me start on AirAsia's frequent habit - rescheduling their flights...

so overall, if you flying short-distance (ie: within peninsula Msia), AirAsia should do...but if you're flying KL-Borneo, i'd say take MAS, especially if you wanted to be at the place on time.

orlyandsa
FULL OF LIES!

but, because of the cheapER fair. i guess that is what i expect to get

fortune cookie
its ok....
but its kinda hot and stuffy inside....
the things r also quite expensive..
i still prefer malaysia airlines

Sarah
seriously i have'nt flown in Air Asia, but with all the info i get and reading the papers about it, its just bad compared to MAS..
errr....orchid planning to go somewhere? lol !

From i've seen form the comments here, there are more complaints than praise. If any one from Air Asia who read those, please take note...
From my point of view, i would commend Mr. Fernandez for giving everyone a chance to fly! No doubt it's cheap and you can't fly with MAS at this kind of rates and i can say i'm of them.
On the other hand, the structure of the fares is simple as that, when you can't sell, lower the price even further to attract! This how a no frills airline sells their empty seats.
However what i can't stand is when their plane is late everyone were made to wait for unknown reason. Worse still when it is ready to board, some selfish passengers couldn't care less if there's children or elderly people to rush on to the planes.
Sorry to say it,but when you step in to the Low Cost Carrier Terminal i can't help but feel like one of the lower class passengers waiting for my flight.

It is a budget airline in Malaysia which offer real cheap flied tickets. The ticket price starts from MR0.99. Yes, you heard me right MR0.99 which you have to booked it online months before your flight. But there are only a few tickets at that price during each flight.

Then again, don't be trick by the cheap air tickets. You'll still have to fork out some MR60 for the airport taxes if I remember the amount correctly.

Anyway, it is still a good bargain for those who wants to travel cheap. As its slogan implys, Everyone can fly!

Some cheap alternatives are Tiger airline and Jetstar asia.

Proud Espanyol
I dont have any idea but I booked a flight with them. I'll be travelling around Asia and thought of saving money. So the service sucks eh? Well its cheap, what do you expect? As they say, "you will never know unless you try"...and try is exactly what I'll do... An hour ride is nothing to the experience you will get once youre in your destination. Their concept is really NO FRILLS so expect a lousy service or maybe no service at all :)

I dont mind their service as long as I get to my destination ALIVE and kicking, lol! Bali here I come.....

It's cheap and the service is decent but I would prefer if they serve better quality or at least cheaper food on the plane. If they would serve complimentary food like MAS, that would be much better.

izyorke4767
the service sucks, but then again, for that kind of price, it's pretty much expected. but the newer planes have nicer seats. it's pretty much like going on a flying busride.

For those who are used to flying regular airlines, obviously the standards of budget airlines are different and below the norm. But for those who have never flown before or who don't mind minimal facilities & service, AirAsia makes flying affordable. A plus point for an enterprising Malaysian venture!

BTW, I bring along my own entertainment (PDA uploaded with movie, or a book) and refreshments, just like what I do travelling on coaches anywhere else.

pikacu pokemon
Much2 cheaper than MAS. As long as i can balik kampung often now with Air Asia. Eat first before u fly.. so save your budget. :-)

Cheapest way to fly. just think of it as express bus or train. You cant complain must for that kind of price.
